ee UK network shows usa/new york location
 

My UK ee data sim shows a usa location on some ip address lookup websites.

Could this be a problem for use with eb/pp?

Just to confirm that there is some sort of problem, some websites I visit, it will not let me access them as it says I am not in UK - ie. some uk betting sites wont let me log on whilst others will.

I have used many different ee uk sims but they all have the same issue.

Some trippy headbanger business.

Maybe thats why some of my accounts get closed.

If the IP you are using is showing up in another country, it is DEFINITELY a problem. Some websites you can access because they do not care where you are from. But eBay does care and PayPal REALLY CARES - even more so than eBay since they handle the financial end of things.

Are you sure you are not using a proxy or anything, I use EE alot for stealth purposes and never came across such problem.

I have not had any really problems using ee.
I have 10 accounts, some new, some aged, all running fine.

I was just a bit concerned/confused as sometimes when I make a new account, it gets closed down after 1st sale.

As you can see, some websites say usa, others say uk.

Yeah I wouldn't worry about it too much in terms of ebay/paypal, the problem is some of the methods that these geo tracking sites use to get location are not very accurate at all, so can be very inaccurate. Some are more accurate than others etc, so you shouldn't care about what all of them say, you should care more about the ones that are fairly accurate most of the time, what they say. Cause I'm sure the technology ebay uses to track country location is far more similar to the superior geo tracking sites rather than the inferior ones. That's the simplest way I can sum it up without getting to technical, this site is fairly reliable

Thanks for the info.

Just to say that when I put the modem in 3g mode as opposed to 4g mode, it shows UK on all sites.
