What should I do to prove the postage of the item under £15.

I am running new ebay account with new paypal at the moment. Paypal will soon limit my account due to money laundering scheme since I am reaching £1000 (received money).

The thing is I am selling the items which are under £15 (£9-£15). all items are light. I just put them in an envelope or bubble envelope when I pack. Then putting first class stamp on and post it. If I use special delivery or sign for, it will cost me £3-4 which will reduce the number of sales because buyers dont wanna pay for a £2-3 more.

So if paypal limit me soon because of money laundering scheme, they will ask me for the postage proof of a few items. What should I do about this???

recorded is 72p extra above normal postage, do that on some or most, until you are in the clear with paypal, if you think buyers dont want to pay, fund it yourself, if you are making a decent profit overall. Why not put a note on each auction saying if you want recorded add 70p to total, and put it as optional and the amount on your shipping tool. Some will opt for it and some wont, youd be surprised, most buyers like signed for, as it gives them added security.

Thank you Oom. I just check the price list on post office website and find that it only costs 72p. That's brilliant!!! I misunderstand with last time i posted. I paid £3-4 for "recorded signed for" but that's large letter.

I got further question. Can I do like the following....
1 Keep posting item by first class.
2 When they limit and ask for postage proof, I will send a letter (contains bill) to that person and post it with "signed for". so that I will have a proof of postage. Will they notice that i post the item after they limit??? is it gonna be ok this way.

Thanks again.

they might notice dates after limit, I cant say exactly how carefully they check!

only other way is to get proof of postage slip from postoffice that is stamped, or sometimes they will write the door number and postcode and stamp it on receipt, thats the only other thing I can think of. That way you can send 1st class and not pay extra.

In any case, I know its a hassle but I think it is always good on auctions to keep proof of postage for cheaper items and do signed for on higher price, that way if they say it didnt turn up you have proof to show in dispute.

If you get have proof of some items before feedback is left and if received ok then you get feedback and thats proof, right?

If you already received feedback, this is proof enough they received it and will suffice. You will need to call them and explain this on the phone though.
