2 eBay accounts in one office?
 

Greetings

I have an eBay account which does about £15k monthly sales.
Now I would like to open 2nd one which would sale different products.

My question is:
Is it alright if I run it from the same internet connection and on the same computer in one office?

Could eBay or paypla have something against me having two well doing accounts?

All answers will be greatly appreciated.

They could well have an issue with that yes.

If they would actually shut down what must be a pretty strong account over it, that would be hard to say for sure

It would be a good idea to keep your new account from being linked to your old account to prevent any issues popping up :)

Welcome to the forums - the cornerstone of stealth is to create UNLINKED accounts. Your way OP would create a bad link...with issues potentially later

Plenty of people do what you plan on doing. You're allowed more than one ebay account Aslong as you follow their guidelines on when it's acceptable to have multiple accounts.

Having said that, this is a stealth forum, and the main rule of running multiple accounts is to stay 'link free'

Once accounts are linked, if one goes down, they all go down.

Lot of people do, I wouldn't bother though. Just set it up as stealth and sell the same items and you're selling 25-30k. Stealth isn't hard atall, took me like 6 weeks to have the bottle to start another account thinking as soon as I logged on ebay would knock on my door with the SAS and confiscate my accounts but its easy to do

Well, it IS allowed to have two accounts. If you are open and honest with eBay about it, then it could work out OK.

BUT - If anything happens to one account, the same thing happens to the other account.

So I have to agree with JamesNorth101 here... The safest and best thing would be to create another stealth account under a different business and keep them totally separate. That way, if one account goes down for some reason, you still have the other account.

Using eBay as a sales platform requires good risk management these days.

I'd be wary of dismissing stealth as easy. Not having a pop you understand but from past experience either Ebay and Paypal can jump up and bite you in the wedding tackle very quickly. You let your guard down and this will eventually happen.

I do not recommend having 2 accounts with the same IP.

Thank you very much for your answers.

Topic seems simple, but as you see opinions are different.

I think I will decide to go with 2nd acc on different computer but with the same IP.
I will not hide from ebay that I have other well doing account.

Maybe even I will use it to increase limits on this new one, or you guys think that would be very very bad idea?

the only concern with office computers is that they usually are static IP addresses so that is one thing that would link your 2 accounts.. I have a few stealth accounts but only check one of these at work
