Re: negative feedback?

Contact the person that left the feedback and see if you can work something out to get it removed. A return or partial refund normally works. If all else fails contact ebay and see if they can get it removed

Rival seller, brand new account created on day of sale, feedback left as soon as allowed on new account

Call EB, they will remove it 100%, as it looks very suspicious.

Re: negative feedback?

On most of my accounts I have no problems with this sort of thing. But I have a couple of accounts that sell very competitive items, where these things happen. I used to deal with it after the fact by calling eBay and such. Now, I check every buyer before I ship the items. If they have a history of leaving negative feedbacks, or sell the same thing, then I am VERY CAREFUL about what I do next. I might cancel the sale. I might email them at the address that PayPal provides. I might just go ahead and ship the item. It all depends what I find.

Believe it or not, sometimes a seller will make a purchase from you because they ran out of merchandise. I have done that myself, placing an order with a rival seller, just because I did not want to cancel a sale and have it on my record. I have never placed an order with the intent of leaving negative feedback for that seller.

Unfortunately, this sort of thing is just a part of doing business online. Competitors can be vicious. They will use any means, fair and foul to get their sales. All you can do is deal with it as it comes.

Re: negative feedback?

I had neg a few weeks ago. I messaged the person saying i was disappointed they had left me a neg. They told me they had sent a message cos they wanted to return item and I had not replied. I had replied and agreed to the return and could prove it., they offered to remove feedback.

So its always a good idea to ask why they neged you as it could go in your favour.

To be honest, people who leave neg with no contact are just gob****es, ive had a week of it...2000 sales, 1000 positive, and then a bunch of chavs who want to wreck it. one even said 'hahah lolol, you have 100percent positive, so thought you deserved a negative'

I'm sure you could get that removed.

Yeah I thought that as well but got the usual 'its the opinions of the buyer and not ebay' message.
