Would this dongle do the job for stealth?

Just curious, do you guys think this dongle would do the trick for using stealth? Roughly how far does the data go with literally just using it for ebay purposes?

Yes it will do the job.

How long is a piece of string? It all depends on how much you use and sell to how much data you use. The more you sell, the more money you make, so the fairly minor cost of a dongle and data should very soon and easily pay for itself, yes?

Remember to record your i.p everytime, and use different users accounts for each ebay/stealth account/profile. Some dongles have better i.p ranges than others, so as you open more stealths it is good idea to have more than one option.

The bottom line though to which you chose is the signal in your area.

One dongle per account is how i roll...

No worries about IP's then..

1GB a month works for me but if you have a heavy photo upload month you might need a bit more.

get dongle from 3 or pcworld,pay as you go.works well for me.

Try and get unlimited tethering on a mobile sim it's what I do and save buying a dongle

Ive got a Nokia Lumia on EE, it isn't unlocked, could I use my handset as an internet source if I purchase a tethering sim? cant use my current sim as it is linked to an old ebay account

Just get a 3 dongle for £30 loaded with starter data and stop farting about ;)

You can still tether off your sim just use plane mode to change IP addresses
But check your service provider for tethering allowance first
I got unlimited off 3 network 2 years ago and it's still going strong
Or buy a dongle but u will need more than 1gb data if u want to do more than browse on eBay

After 6months I am fed up with same IP group from three. Need to change few time to get a new ip.
Any idea?

1gb lasts me 20-30 hours, thats with listening to chit on youtube too though

The last thing you want, if for example you have 4 different stealths based in 4 different cities, is them all being shown as to have accessed the internet through the same i.p address. :thumb:

One network per account it is more appropriate.

If you use more than one dongle on the same network (Internet Service Provider), IPs could repeat between accounts.

That is ideal, of course, but only if:

a) You have very few stealths.
b) You can get decent coverage on all available networks.

Otherwise it is neither realistic or practical.

I was answering to your statement above. One dongle per account doesn't mean anything if they are all from the same ISP provider in the same pool of IPs.

One dongle is enough in this case, IPs must not be cross-used between accounts.

So essentially, if two people use a vodafone dongle, completely unrelated people, selling on ebay in the same city, you are saying that they will be linked?

Ive never seen two dongles with a similar IP pool ever.

I do not know how it works in your country but in mine if you get a vodafone dongle you are using the same IP pool all the others vodafone customer will... it would be crazy otherwise.

How can vodafone assing a pool of IPs for each customer? Pool might be big so you never came across the same IP but they are all "swimming" in the same pool

Btw, Ip only is not an issue as far as linking account is concerned. Other data have more weight in the game.

Please correct me if I am wrong, but are the i.p pools for dongles in the UK not localised to their base stations? :confused:

Base stations are small transceivers that relay information between users and the network.
Base stations are assigned a block of ip addresses so if you took your dongle outside the coverage of that base station, you are getting a fresh pool of ip addresses.

OP you could buy an unlocked dongle on eBay for the same price.
No need to buy another dongle if you ever need to switch provider in the future.
