| | | surplus | 10-18-2015 11:41 AM | When do paypal release all funds? Hi, ive had my paypal and ebay account for almost a month now, i sold a book, added tracking got feedback ect, all legit. However, on the new account, paypal hold money for 21 days or on this time 5 days.
My question is, when is "my" money my money, so when a user sends and pays for the goods, it doesnt go to pending? |
| ilcarletto | 10-18-2015 12:07 PM | Re: When do paypal release all funds? It depends on your seller profile, how fast you dispatch the item and all that..
Anyway, being PayPal involved... you'd better revise the "my money" the concept |
| surplus | 10-18-2015 12:32 PM | Re: When do paypal release all funds? I dispatched it same day so far.
selling another QTY 3 items tonight at 10.00 each, so ill dispatch it same day.
does buyer feedback help towards getting it removed faster? |

I have same problem as well. Had a Private account with a limit of 100 items now but sold a dozen items but they take 21 days to release.
However once I provide tracking number normally release within 10 days. I have sold bits and bobs over the last 5 weeks and thought this would be gone but it still shows up.
Thanks |
| slokor | 10-18-2015 02:54 PM | Re: When do paypal release all funds? Certain conditions need to be met to remove the 21 day hold. Those basic conditions are:
1. 90 days from the first sale.
2. 25 feedbacks as a seller.
3 over $250 in sales.
Of course these are the minimum conditions and there is no guarantee the 21 day hold will be removed if paypal sees anything to raise any red flags for them. |

This can make a big difference as in some markets sellers may only get feedback 30-40% of the time.
Then there will still be a lag of a day or three.
Things definitely changed from a few months ago, when I could almost 95% guarantee that my holds would go after 60-65 days, £60 and 12-15+ pos selling feedback. |
| dan_ebay | 10-18-2015 04:05 PM | Re: When do paypal release all funds? It goes down to 10 days once you click dispatched whether tracked or not. Definitely changed a few months ago, all of my holds used to go after I hit around £150 even if it was 2 days old now most take 3 months. Still get the odd account that has them drop straight away though |
| surplus | 10-19-2015 01:46 AM | Re: When do paypal release all funds? Na the 90 days isnt right. ive checked my old banned email from my first sale date, I made an account 6 months ago and sold 12 items per day at 4.99 GBP and within 15 days it was removed and that was a brand new account. |

I sold a book on the 13th, marked it as disptached and paypal estimated my funds to be released on 18th. I checked yesterday and they were released. |

To deal with and they suck |

| wired | 10-19-2015 07:32 AM | Re: When do paypal release all funds? Also put the tracking number in, can be as little as four days then. If your profit dosent allow tracking the sell some crap that you dont make any money on and send it out with tracking for the first 10 items you sell, holds should come off after that. |

this is off paypals website:
FAST ACCESS TO FUNDS COMES WITH EXPERIENCE AND PERFORMANCE
PayPal payment holds are typically placed on accounts that do not meet all of the following criteria:
90 days have passed since the first successful eBay sale.
More than 25 received payments have been completed on the site.
More than £165 has been generated in total sales.
If the account had been suspended previously and has been reinstated more than 90 days ago
The seller status on the account is Standard or above
Without any holds on the account, buyers’ payments will be available almost immediately.
Always been the case for me, sometimes its been less than the 90 days if the feedback is rolling in and its not high risk/vero products youre selling.
