eBay checking suppliers

Question relates to generic, unbranded items.

What's the best way to handle eBay if they ask where you source your products from?

If you say you import from China, would they shut you down just from hearing the word 'China'? How do you get around this?

On the other hand, if you say you hand make the items, are they going to ask for proof of that? And what proof could you give them?

Cheers :)

I think if you say China then they automatically will think phake. So I would avoid that. I do not know what proof they would ask for if you said the item was homemade.

I know Etsy ask you for photo proof if your items are handmade (pictures of you in you studio/workshop etc...) but I'm not where eBay stand with it :/

Everything is made in China, I doubt they would do anything, in fact all of my accounts ive said China and never had a problem at all with eBay.

But if your selling something branded and then say China, quite possibly its a red flag.

When you call up for your first allowance increase they ask you anyway.

So you just say 'I source my product from China' and they'll be ok with that?
Hard to believe EB & PP will be ok with anything!

Well they've been ok with that for about fifteen years.

An invoice from a Chinese supplier is fine, as long as your items are not brand name items. If you are selling brand name items, and you give them an invoice from a Chinese supplier, then you will most likely lose the account.
