MIPs Complaint
 

Hi need some advice please, I sold some software and used stealth PayPal for payments. The software lasts for 12 months, however my servers went down over the weekend and just managed to get it back up this morning.
However one off my clients that purchases the software codes from me to resell have started claims from as far back as 18/05/2015 :eek: I assumed they could only claim within the 2 months!?
Is there anything I can do, it seems like I'm being done over, I have emailed and he just wants a refund on all his orders. :mad:

It got changed to 6 months a while back to be the same as credit cards

Are the things that are being resold above board?

And this, ladies and gentlemen, is how fraudsters are created.
Thanks James I dont think I'll bother with it. I'm going to loos that stealth PayPal account now and the funds.
You live and you learn, at least now I know customers can get their money back when ever they want, it's not just the two month, its more like a life time guarantee.

So you moan about fraudsters yet sell keys that are not legit??

Hmmm...please tell me if I am missing something here but there does seem something rather ironic about it all.

Reminds of a story where a guy selling drugs got robbed then called the police, lol....sorry but if you aren't selling legit keys, you have no leg to stand on.

lol, you guys are right in a way, I can see that.
However I not ripping off my customers, I give them the full 12 month term. This will now be changed as I can get done at any time, thanks to paypal.

Also my customers know fully that the keys are not legit. It's not like I'm passing them off as legit when there not.
They know what there buying. But to use it for 5 months and then get a full refund, thats not on in my books, I know xmas is coming but I'm not santa :)

Its also likely with this account that Paypal will provide you with a nice, permanant limitation under their "You breached our Acceptable use Policy" so dont hold your breath with this account, youre likely to lose it

Selling foofoo things is always risky. That is not the worst that may had happen.

You just said this guy is a reseller. So, all of your resellers are more than likely passing them off as legit to innocent customers who don't know any better. Just because you don't see people getting screwed over, doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

Either way, there are no rules in the industry you gamble in, so there will be no sympathy for you. Just like all the morons who come on this forum crying about how all of their count.erfe.its were seized. No one gives a sh*t.

Make a better effort in future to keep up to date with what paypal/ebay will do.

Your category is high risk, kill account one. Foo foo gear is not acceptable and there is no justification to sell it.

I didn't come here for sympathy, I came for some advise, which I got from JamesNorth101 and Colfor. So thanks guys I'll take your advise and ditch this paypal account.
