Increasing seller allowance for a stealth account
 

Hi guys

im using a few stealth accounts and on one of them I can sell 100 items or 3500 whichever comes first I was granted this 22 Oct however i want to increase it more but whenever I ask ebay they said to set up a business account or wait until the system automatically grants me more allowance. On my other account i can sell 230 items or 12000. Is there anyway i can get this done quicker I dont wanna set up a business account as i dont get the free listings on weekends and also last time i did i got banned.

They don't increase private sellers allowance over 100 because what 'private seller' would sell over 100 items a month.

If you're selling as a business, you should register as a business. Simple as that.

Who on earth told you this? As a verified merchant I would have thought you would have been much better informed.

I have high personal accounts including 500/10000 and one just risen last month to 270/18000. Just keep selling until you approach or hit your limits and gently increase the average monthly turnover and you will get these automatic, within as short a time as 4 or 5 months if you execute good stealth. Absolutely no need to ever call in.

realdeals - you've missed the point.

eBay DO NOT grant you an increase in selling allowance over 100 items when you speak to them. The OP has openly stated;

You get automatic increases by the system but you will never be granted over 100 items manually.

I have not missed the point, that was not what was said:

If just_smile was referring to purely contacting ebay then they should have stated that more clearly, but that was not certainly not said.

Wouldn't expect any different than 'the merchant club' to stick together though, even when wrong. ;)

Just stating: 'what 'private seller' would sell over 100 items a month' is nonsense also, and worth of critique on its own.

Not sticking up for anyone - making a point that they WONT increase over 100 when contacting them but yes they do go over a 100 items automatically or over time when feedback and sales are received on the account

If you're incapable of following a conversation, that is your issue, not mine. It was clear from the OP'S original post that we were talking about contacting eBay. NOT automatic increases.

And if you feel the need, feel free to critique my comment.

Actually it seems you are the one who can not follow, as the OP clearly mentions both calling in and automatic rises, as well as asking how to get an increase.

So yes I will feel free to critique any comment you make.

Guys what do you suggest i do in order for me you increase it shall i keep selling or shall i contact them on a monthly basis i wanna sell more and i dont wanna sell on another account incase they click on that i may be the same person

Sell to your limits to get higher automatic increases

do you know of any time span or time period until the system will automatically increase the allowance

Try and sell up to your limits by the half way point of the month and then there should be plenty of chance for a raise. Raises happen throughout the month.

Try not to crossover the months though. So if you have for example a 30 item limit and have not used any of it do not put 30 items on an auction on the 30th that would carry you over to the next month. Seems to confuse the system a bit and will have an adverse reaction.

Easily get an increase on a personal account after listing 1 item despite the fact if it's been sold or not.

I run 5 "main" accounts currently and they all have more than 100 limits. Every single account got limit increases before 90 day was up. I think the lowest limit account that I have is 180 items and highest is 520(I think, might be 540) and they are all private, not business accounts.

I have never called in, just sold to the limits and never had any returns, problems, neutral feedbacks or other similar things.

My suggestion to OP is that just keep maxing the limits and if you don't have any problems, they'll bump the limits.

Haidukken - again we all know this that they do naturally increase. I think just_smile hasn't been heard right.

For the last time.... You can get higher than 100 items automatically on private accounts, easily, in fact usually get better increases on private accounts. Manual increases on private accounts above 100 items does not happen.

I know Haidukken, I have private accounts which have been bumped over 100 items automatically too.

I meant when speaking to eBay. I thought it was obvious what I meant, but I guess not. My bad. :smash:

You lot are confusing. For private account you could well get unlimited, 1000, 5000 limits when you create the account, however, if you get 100 or fewer item limit and call in for an increase you will never get it.

i contacted ebay this months again via chat and they said only the system can increase my allowance.
but they said to call there specialist team and see if they can increase it, is it safe to call them as its a stealth account

Depends how confident you are on the phone

You can call, but a few things can happen

You can be asked to upgrade to a business if doing high volume, you can be asked for invoices and you can be asked for ID. They will also look into the account, so I would only call if you are 100% certain the account is in tip top shape.

Personally I wait for limits to increase naturally

thats weird im on live chat right now opened the account on 2nd jan and they just increased my limits to 75/2600 never had an issue with getting my limits increased every 3 weeks, got one account with 190 items that happened literally a week after getting it up to 75/2600 via chat lol.
