Building up and buying on new stealth account

Once I get a new stealth account the guide says build it up by sending messages using help section etc

Should I buy some items too? Reason I ask is obviously fresh account and have no funds in PayPal. So will they try taking money from bank linked to PayPal and then see my name etc and will this cause issues ?

Thanks

Re: Building up and buying on new stealth account

I have several stealths and I've never done any buying from any of them, since none of them have my address. I wouldn't recommend it. If you really want to though I recommend finding someone selling digital goods, so you don't have to message the seller trying to get them to ship to an alternative address.

Watch a few listings, ask a seller a question about their product, act like a noob in general for a few weeks. After two weeks or so, list a low-dollar low-risk item. Once that sells, list another item. Once you get 5 sales or so, you can slowly start listing more than one item at a time. That's what I do and it's worked well on my accounts.

I would stay far far away from digital goods even as buyer only.

eBay doesn't like this kind of business.

I usually buy small cheap items with my accounts. The best it would be to have an accessible stealth address but... I use to make them shipped to my unaccessible stealth address.... a gift for someonelse.

I will not receive it, lose a few $ but I do not care. ,)

I usually keep a few bucks on my vcc so I can buy some cheap items which address I don't have access to, they just get returned which is no big deal at least I'm able to get 10 fb for listing 1 day auctions which is worth the price for me.

Another way I do it sometimes is keep some money in another paypal and send like $5 -$10 to cover small purchases and shipping costs, never had any issues.

So it's ok to leave money on your bank account which PayPal can take when you buy something ?

Re: Building up and buying on new stealth account

No leave money on your credit card not your bank or if you buy your vcc online see if the seller can add money to it.

Here in uk we add debit card if there no funds from PayPal then the debit card or bank balance is used

Re: Building up and buying on new stealth account

You set it up so your debit card pays your ebay fees then whenever you make a purchase the money comes from your debit card not your bank.

Re: Building up and buying on new stealth account

Why not just sell your first item, then when the funds become available in Paypal you purchase something? That way you don't have to add funds to a VCC (if you go that route) and you don't have to worry about Paypal dipping into your bank account. Personally, I don't like them ever going in my bank account because they can possibly get your information from outgoing bank transfers. Plus that's my money, F-off paypal.

I can assure you that you would be fine to sell a low-risk item as long as your paypal is configured properly. If you truly think you need to buy something, that's an option.

Or you could also just not add a bank all until later, which is what I do, then you won't have to worry about it.

Unless you are just trying to get to 10 feedback for one day auctions, feedback as a buyer is useless and a waste of time, effort and money.

Now of course if you need to buy something, go for it, but dont waste any energy thinking your account will be a better selling account...

Stay away as much as possible from letting PayPal take fund from your bank account, more importantly if you are using this for a stealth account. If you want to buy something with your stealth account try as much as possible to sell stuff first and use that money in your PayPal balance to pay for the goods.

Re: Building up and buying on new stealth account

I agree with Yankee. Watching a few items or making a few losing bids would probably build credibility just as much as buying something. I have strong accounts and I do not buy.
