I've had even worse. I have had someone actually go over my entire store and sell the all the things that I sell well! They also copied my images.

I sent a slightly patronising message to them (non abusive) telling them how flattered I was that they admire me so much that they want to use my images, and want to copy what I sell, but different images would work better for both of us. I also addressed them undercutting me by a penny and that just matching prices would surely be better for us both.

Just watermark your images in future.

You can also report them for using your images

eBay used to take listings down if someone copied your stuff and you reported them. I used to regularly search the title of my listings, and go down the list reporting sellers who copied my images/text. But about 6 months ago, the option to report for unauthorized use of "images/text" disappeared (guess they got sick of me).

Nowadays, I would say using a watermark is all you can do to help.

I hate this, they should at least crop it or something.......as long as your account and products are solid, I would report, you can weaken competition this way too, or at least try to if they get takedowns for it....

With US Ebay at least, the option to report sellers for that reason is gone. I noticed the disappearance within a week because I used to have to report people copying my stuff weekly. May be different in UK.

Unless you have a VeRO account with eBay, the chances of getting your competitors listings pulled by reporting are slim, even if they copy every part of your listing. It sucks, I know. I've basically been taking photos for the Chinese for the past several months.

well then, just report them by contacting CS.
If you are not bothered, then just watermark, but the thing is the other seller already has all your old photos to use now......

I understand this couse big problems, but ebay systems knows who upload the images first, so i think you should not be worry if there scamming, As long your feedback is good you will be fine.

That would be nice, but I have to disagree with you. They do know who uploaded the photo first but they don't seem to care. I had a listing removed a few months ago and TO THIS DAY my competitors are using my title, photo, and description.

Well in that case you have all the reason, So will be better to use water marks on each image, Try to ad a water mark in a way image will always will look nice.

Watermark them. If you report them there is a chance Ebay might begin to ask you more question about your products.

What is watermark? When you put your name in the images

That what he has done with my images, put his username in the corner

This is a good example of how to get the most out of a watermark

15/20% transparent lettering (usually your eBay ID) over the image in such a way that it cannot be cut out

I currently have a competitor copy me to the "T"...

Same items, Same photos, same description with same font.

if it was not for user name they would be identical. they didn't eve bother with the watermark. Its right there for everyone to see with my name on it....

Haven't figured out if its a good thing or bad thing yet.

the only issue seems to be they are attempting to sell it higher priced then me...

I am just gonna let it go and concentrate on my own Business...

I own the internet, so all photos on it belong to me.
