Default Dedicated internet for ebay - mobile data or second line thoughts

So I am currently with sky and run my 5 main accounts through my home desktop pc, with my home broadband. I have a mobile wifi dongle I could use.

I was thinking about making a switch to use a dedicated ebay laptop and dedicated internet for ebay. Mainly because im getting fed up of switching user accounts on my desktop when ive got general things up, and fed up with changing IPs while watching netflix and having it go down haha.

So I'm thinking of 2 options:

1: have a dedicated second sky broadband line put in for my ebay and use that

2: Buy a 12 month Three mobile broadband data sim for about £55 and just use that.

What are peoples thoughts? Will I quickly run out of IPs switching 5 IPs a couple of times a day using Three? Will I get fed up with the speed also?

What about option 3: Use 24vc.com

Certainly cheaper than adding another phone line.

I didnt think we needed VPN in the uk?

PS. Good to see your name Ebayorbust, hope you're doing well mate

EDIT: What I mean by that is I seem to remember reading that VPNs are dangerous in the uk and asking for trouble? Did I not get this right?

Totally depends on the VPN. So long as it is guaranteed to be fresh then it is fine (24vc.com VPNs are).

It's the VPNs that use shared IP plans or indeed recycle IPs that cause all the problems.

And, yes, you are correct, a VPN isn't needed if you are actually in the UK but many people prefer it to having to constantly reset routers / record IP etc.

All I am saying is that it is a far better option than installing a new phone line.

Thanks for the reply. Yes it does sound like a better option. I have never even looked into VPNs due to the negative things I read which you addressed. I am strongly considering 24vc.

It would be worth the money just to not have the wife shouting daily "are you f***ing with the internet again?!"

Dongle works out cheaper. I've always got a new IP with three dongle. Speed depends on your location. Personally for me It's extremely fast where I live.

For me its to avoid the time its taking me switching around IPs. Its not a huge amount of time but when ive gone into account A, done what I need to do an am now on account C, only for me needing to go back into account A, its a nuisance.

Do you use dedicated dongles and sims for each account?

I only have one dongle, which I use to run and create accounts. Each time you connect it gives a different IP. I have a IP database to make sure it hasnt been used before.

Thats what I currently use, but with home internet. It was more to avoid the hassle of constantly switching IPs and going in and out of user accounts.

How much data do you get on your 12 month three data sim? £55 seems quite cheap

This.

AND you can most likely run it from your desktop and save a bit of money on the laptop? Unless you want to have a different machine for stealth, that can be a possibility as well.

Best u.k provider in the u.k is BT....Simple.

with your own router you have loads of options for switching ip ranges.

Thats not including openzone (bt wifi).
