Hello guys, after reading a lot of stuff on this forum regarding ebay and stealth accounts I'm just after some first hand information from those that can help.minwas recently banned from eBay and I'm wanting to set up a new account however I'm debating wether to go down the stealth route as I think possibly there is one more option for me, maybe you could help me decide. Basically I was blocked from eBay at my home address. I have a unit which I work from elsewhere which obviously has a different ip adress for the internet. Would it be possible to actually use that place of works adress along with a new PayPal account, a new ebay account and (bank account) or do I have to go and make a new back account aswell? I'm wondering if this will be an option for me as I thought I would be able to link my normal account to the PayPal then use that adress? Is this possible

The main issue you would run into is you would be using the same name and DOB on the new PayPal, which would link you instantly to the old PayPal

The new unit can work for an account though, but your going to want a stealth name and DOB

James, thank you for your help. how do i go about this? im guessing it would just be best to make a full stealth account and operate from the same place (my house). the thing is i share the unit with a friend that operates their ebay from the unit so i wouldn't want to jeopardise their ebay situation in any way. i'm still getting to grips with how it all actually works i'm finding it quite hard to understand if i'm honest.

Welcome to the forums friend.
technically speaking yes you could use that new address although that will not resolve the issue of your name. And yes youll need a new bank account.
What I would suggest you do is get the stealth guide and study it. Open the second account the way you want to try and at the same time start opening stealth accounts as well as backup in case you get this second account in trouble (which is a real possibility if you mess up ANYTHING on the setup).

Same name and DOB will cause a link regardless.

New address + name + DOB is your winner. Even if you end up using a random address, although not advised it can be a good option and then attach a rental PO BOX or something similar to the returns address on eBay.

Even doing all this might not stop people from linking you to your previous account. ;) Worth bearing in mind. :)

just do stealth bro, you gunna need a few more accounts too so you don't have to worry about this problem anymore.

Just make sure you age the account as well before selling.

No need to leave it for years though.

An account that has been dormant for years that suddenly springs into life, selling, creates as big a flag as selling on a brand new account.

Maybe read around a tad more.

We really try to help in depth, not limit to "questions asked".

Better to cover as much as possible.

guys, thanks a lot for the replies, seems as though the forum is full of very helpful people willing to share all the information. one of my worries is not being able to fully understand the stealth guide if i buy it although I'm assuming its fairly easy to understand.

if i open a virtual bank account the name has to match to the ebay one? and thinking of putting the address as some apartment block near me as i wouldn't want to get my friends account in trouble from ebay that operates from the address i was originally planning to put it at.

I also have Virgin Media broadband, not sure how to change the IP address... been reading up on it but it says it is best to just get a dongle as each time it changes the IP.

You can use this thread to change your IP with VM

You need to get a bank account in your real details through a high street bank (avoid Lloyds and TSB though). No such thing as a VBA in the UK :thumb:

james. firstly thankyou for your help i really appreciate it, all this is getting on top of me seeing as it is my main source of income, I'm great full for the people posting on here and replying.
I'm still reading a lot and learning. i currently bank with Natwest, meaning i must open a new account with any other bank, containing the different sort code and account number, however same address, I'm confused now as to how i can use that account with ebay as it has the same details? or is that something i should read elsewhere?

regarding the ip address I'm guessing i would have to purchase a new wireless router to change the mac address and the ip address or would i be best off using a dongle?
i apologise for how confused i am trying to digest all of this.

regarding the stealth guide is it a one time fee or is there a monthly charge for it
