eBay for ipad
 

Hi,

I have previously had the eBay app on my iPad for a stealth account. I now want to use eBay again on the iPad. If I set the iPad back to the factory settings will this clear any data caches or tracker installed by previous eBay app.

No that wont work I am afraid assuming they track iPads in the same way they same way as a iPhone and any other sort of phone (the eBay APP tracks the IMEI number on phones)

You need to just stick to the browser

On a side not I am not 100% certain that iPad have IMEI numbers?

I was talking about the devices which cannot use 3G :)

I am pretty sure do not have an IMEI number, so the APP would not track that (due to it not existing)

I would be pretty certain that they have another way of tracking the non 3G devices though, the serial number would be my guess.

Touche'.

So cellular network capable ipads = IMEI
Wifi only iPads = no IMEI

With that being said, I would still be very careful trying to reuse an Ipad for stealth. As james said, there are probably other Apple-specific tracking methods..
