Anyone having issues tonight when trying to register on eb?

No matter what email i put in i am getting this error:

"Please enter a valid email address."

ive tried typing, copy pasting etc, could it just be a bug and will sort itself out in a few days? Its weird, i just joined PP with the email address ive got an account on amazon with this email so wtf is going on. Even the guy on live chat hasnt a clue :ranger:

Did you try another browser?

Had this happen late November.

Was making a joint ebay/paypal/amazon deal using an active email...

Was very annoying.

tried IE, Opera, Firefox all saying the same. Ebay rep asked me to join ebay with a diff email to the one ive joined PP with which i didnt agree to, i dont want banned in a couple of weeks time for mismatched emails i told him (not even sure if i would get banned for that) but hey ho id rather be safe than sorry.

Sure have bunneh, very annoying. So would it be ok to join with a diff email to the PP one ill be linking?

Just double check when you copy and paste because sometimes an extra space gets inserted, either at front of email or end of email.

If you have used the email on another account, you wont be able to use it on a new account.

if you type an email addy in thats been used you get an error message also saying "this email address is already register, forgotten password?"

weird, never came across this....must be a bug in the system. Cheers for replies anyway :)

no you cant use the same email thats been used on another ebay before to register a new ebay account.

It wont allow you to have multiple ebay accounts with 1 email address.
Otherwise a lot of users will have issues if this was possible.

You tried going into eBay Community Forums and finding an older link and clicking register, then enter your email?

Can solve it usually

never thought of that mate, but if said problem ever occurs again ill be sure to try this way cheers
