A problem to watch out for when using 24vc
 

Hi, please guys can you help.
I had one of my stealth accounts running via my 24vc ip address. The problem is I left my computer on with ebay also open in a background tab. When I returned to my computer the 24vc vpn was still showing as connected but it had reverted back to my main ip address which I currently use for one of my other accounts.

I didn't click on the ebay tab but it was running in the background. Do you think that a link has been made between the 2 accounts?

Probably not.

Are you running secondary software that closes the browser if the VPN drops? If you aren't then I'd suggest you get one. There are several available that are free of charge.

Hi Ebayorbust, thanks for the reply.

So it probably wouldn't link the 2 accounts, is this because ebay was on in the background or is just 1 ip address match not enough to link 2 seperate accounts.

I didn't know there was software available that would cut the internet connection if the VPN drops. I have looked at the link you posted and will now look into installing some software. Is there any software that 123 recommends that you personally use and would also recommend?

A one-time shared IP is not enough by itself to cause a link. IP's are commonly shuffled around by ISPs since the IPv4 address pool was exhausted a few years back.

123 has made several suggestions in the past. I think the simplest suggestion he has made is configuring windows firewall to block any non-VPN traffic.

I don't recommend using bestvpn as you're eBay stealth VPN provider, but the article above details several ways of ensuring your IP does not change while your working. It tells you how to configure windows firewall to allow only VPN traffic, and they also recommend a few software applications that act as a "VPN kill switch." The kill switch apps will automatically close your browser and any other applications using the internet if they detect your VPN connection has been dropped.

Hi phaz0rz, thanks for the reply.

I feel better now knowing that a 1 time ip match won't cause a link. They are 2 of my best accounts so want to keep them both separate.

I think I'll configure windows to block any non VPN traffic as it seems the best way.

Try using VPNCheck Pro software which will disconnect/close any applications/browsers you choose if your connection drops.

With any VPN provider, I feel using such software is essential when doing stealth
