Paypal stealth account 2 yrs old want to add new bank acc but wont let me??
 

I have a stealth paypal acccount that ive been using for few years no issues, it paid into my ex partners bank (hsbc) even though the names was different without a problem.

I now need to cange te bank account it pays into to another account first direct (HSBC) but after mutiple attempts it wont let me add the new bank account i just get this error

"We're sorry, we're unable to link that bank account because it is disabled. Please try another bank account."

Does any one know what this means can they now tell its in a different name in advance or something? wilst adding it? Ive never had any trouble with stealth and hsbc before??

next step is to message them but i dont want to flag it if possible as this has been a usefull little account just to sell my odds and sods on after being baned 5 yrs ago.,

Sounds like you entered the deposits wrong 3 times or it's been used with another account. Exactly what it says disabled try a new fresh bank account.

Are you 100% sure that this bank account has not been used with a PayPal bank before?

If so you can ring them to have it manually added.

Ring them, tell the automated advisor you want to "add a new bank account" and you should be able to add it automatically without speaking to someone.

I had same error, it a decoy as far as they are concerned you could have hacked the account and added another bank and off you go.
Had to phone them and submit id again but be careful on that as docs that would have pased 5 years ago may not now due to resolution.

Has anyone else recently experienced this 'bank account is disabled' issue?

I had it the other day on a 5 day old saver account.

I have had same issue few times. Call them, u ll be fine but make sure you revise ur details before call :)

they will wanna do credit check- then what...............
