PayPal Dispute Opened From Buyer - RM International Signed Proof?
 

I sold an item on Ebay worth about 100 quid 12 days ago. The buyer who is from Ukraine, has opened a dispute in Paypal saying it has not been delivered.
I have sent the item through Royal Mail International Signed.' The status of the delivery is has been passed to the overseas postal service for delivery in UKRAINE.' Is this enough proof?

This won't be enough proof for Paypal unfortunately... It will need to say delivered, signed for by XXX.

Maybe try using the tracking number on the local Ukranian postal service website, and see if it shows any more details.

12 days? well they were obviously setting that one up, as if that includes weekends, its realistically only 8 days. Quite typical of our Eastern European counterparts unfortunately.

As advice above, find what service in converts to in Ukraine and use the tracking on that, but by the sounds of it they know they didn't sign for it but its sitting on their kitchen table!

I always use DHL or UPS for foreign orders over £50, much better tracking and signature services, and normally only around £5-10 more on the postage.

As it is tracked you are covered by Royal mail.. not up to a 100 notes though

Lesson learnt for the future.
I ran the tracking reference number through trackitonline, and it says 'delivered to recipient'. I have submitted this to PayPal, do you think this will be enough proof?

No. You've already been told what to do.

Use google to find the tracking link for the service that handles the delivery in the Ukraine.

Then use the tracking number there to see if it's been delivered. Then upload the url and the tracking number to paypal.

That will win you the case.

DHL printed labels have the original senders real name and address on them so could be tricky to use for stealth!, I only use them on my Amazon account as it is still my original name and address.

I doubt its too much of an issue, use common sense, book the parcel pickup as your stealth name, the address matters not as it could just be a shipment warehouse.

Although I do tend to use UPS more as the rates are more favourable, but DHL are by far the best couriers

PayPal will not accept a trackitonline link.

Nor should we presume someone in paypal knows how to track an item on the delivery service provider of Ukraine that handle internation royal mail posted parcels.

Providing all the information will result in the correct decision made the first time.

Post your sirens somewhere else.

I've posted screen shots from both track it online, and the Ukraine postal tracking page. I have added the relevant information. If the case goes against me, I've learnt for the future, and yeh it's pretty frustrating but it's only 100 pounds.

When I Use paypal postage for recorded signed for (not done a special delivery with paypal yet but guess it might be the same ) international signed for or whatever tracked they now print the tracking number on the label. I print a label then print another copy of the label to file as a pdf file.

What i like about paypal postage is that it uses the delivery address saving me editing a label and the postage cost is hidden at your choice. This stops a "you have charged me 5p over the actual costs complaints etc". Can you hide the price when postage through ebay ?

I cut off the return address from the printed label and replace it with an accessible return address sticker.

I always insert the tracking number on ebay.

Do ebay email the tracking number to the buyer to say its on its way?

In general i never get problems with tracked mail but standard postage occasionally I get a didn't arrive and nearly every claim has been paid.
