Uk pp/eb account naming
 

Hi All,

I'm new to this forum. I have read the stealth guide but am stuck on the named person for my account.

About 2 years ago I was banned from ebay (too many low dsr).

About a year ago, I opened up a new pp/eb accounts with all new details (email, bank, phone, address, etc) but used my real name. As it stands this account has 80/£2300 selling limits.

I'd like to open more accounts and sell through them. Is is safe to use my own name again as long as everything else is different?

Any help would be much appreciated

I would say it's pretty safe.
Just imagine how many, for example, "John Smith" are in the world. So I doubt that PP would view it as risk.

I personally, have had an account with the same name which was banned and even with the same address. But I mixed my address lines, firstly wrote my surname and after that my name. And it lasted quite a long time...

Why do you just want to keep your name? dosent make any sense?

I would disagree.

The OP has a UK flag

ebay UK can be troublesome with detecting links to banned info.

As such, your suggestion could not be doable.

I need to use my real name to lift paypal limits? Its the only ID I can provide

You may be able to use variations of your name - John can become Jon, Gemma can become Jemma, Christine can become Chrissie etc...

But personally, I change the name every time and keep records of everything. I find it easier (and safer) that way.

The bottom line is.......if everything else is gonna be stealth there is no point in using your real name, is there?

OK there may be reasons to do so......if you have a REALLY, ( and I mean REEEEEAAAAALLLLLLLYYYYYYYYYYY), common name then it means you can utilize LLoyds bank for stealth when 95% percent of us can not......


If you are not in that fortunate few percentile though, then there is only ever likely to be a down side rather than an upside. :thumb:

The problem is that using your same name and same DOB is a very easy link for PayPal and eBay

Before you make any accounts, may i suggest you read much more of the forum.

Go over the UK part especially. You may get light bulb moments that expand your current ways of thinking.

Again, please try to avoid reusing old info. ebay UK detects that quickly.
