Tracking Numbers

Hi there,

A bit worried so looking for some advice really.. I use myhermes and ipost (UK Mail) to post parcels.. I've an account set up and use my real paypal account to pay for them.

What I'm nervous about is that I've added the tracking numbers into a stealth eBay account - is this a problem?

How would you suggest that I get get around this issue

Any help would be greatly appreciated as panicking slightly at the moment :-(

Many thanks

Re: Tracking Numbers

You don't need to use a real account to pay for them, you can set accounts with Hermes and Ipostparcels up in Stealth details and then pay with the Stealth PayPal account.

As for the ones you've done - they don't share info with eBay so you should be ok, but personally I would'nt take the chance in the future , keep it all 'inhouse' in your stealth user profiles on your computer.

Re: Tracking Numbers

I have been doing this over and over for many stealths. I still use the first myhermes account I setup for shipping across many stealths. I really dont think its an issue though.

It might be an issue if myhermes issue a unique id for each account on its platform and that unique id is shared with PayPal. So, using a unique id across several paypal will be a linkage but as far as I am concern, I think the information that is passed to paypal upon checkout will be a unique order id which will be different for each order, thereby erasing the issue of linkage.

The second scenario will be if myhermes is sharing the delivery address information with PayPal at the time of checkout. This will raise a privacy issue as its no business of ebay to know what address I am delivering order to. Their business is to process payment. End of.
