What courier to use for furniture and heavy goods

Hi Guys.

Does anyone here deal with furniture and heavy goods? What courier do you use and how good is their price and reliability.

DX Freight, TNT, Tuffnells, etc. Price is based on volume and your business model.

None of them reliable enough to keep healthy ebay accounts going. Expect to lose plenty of accounts.

For your own website or other sales avenues they are fine.

TNT, Paisley Freight.

DX Freight through Parcel Monkey if you are just wanting to use them on an adhoc basis. They take upto 6m in length and any weight.

Tuffnells is B2B only, you will struggle to get an account with them

TNT volumise everything now, anything over 1m in length gets hit with hefty surcharges too. So would not recommend them either.

@wired - Paisley freight subcontract TNT.

Thanks all but I think my current courier is still way better than any of the abov mentioned. By the time I added parcel length of 130cm height 70cm and width 65cm and total weight of 55KG, DX Freight came back with £109. I have tried to a quote from Shiply in the past and it was astronomical as well. I am sending this for £40 to £48 with my current courier

That's a good deal if your carrier is efficient and hasslefree
