21-day holds
 

Has anyone noticed a reduction of 21-day holds on accounts once would normally holds on? Specifically in the last 24-48 hours.

What do you mean?

Note: holds can come and go at any time.

Luckily no as none of my accounts are subject to hold.

Hope it means your funds are over the hold hurdle!

Digressing slightly, ebay and paypal have been a little funny with holds lately.

Around 1 in 6 of the stealths I have set up the last 4 months have no ebay holds. They have paypal holds and you get a message stating once you have completed 10 sales and after 60 days of first sale all holds will be lifted. And they are. Sometimes if you sell something 'out of the norm', or in a slightly higher risk cat, you will get holds go back on for that item. Maybe 1 in 3 or 4 times for me, but the rest are clear.

I certainly prefer the 10 item and 60 day (with no min £ in sales value required) paypal holds to the 90 (+ 2or 3) day, £165, 25 completed sale ebay holds.

I have gotten a payment with no hold and then i got a 2 other payments with holds for only about 2 weeks not the usual 21 day hold anymore..

Basically I have two newish accounts that I started selling on last week. I'd normally expect them to have holds on. One had a hold on a £20 item and then accepted a £400 payment without holds. The second had a £300 payment with no hold on.

Thats obviously not usual for new accounts.

I wondered if other people had experienced accounts that they would expect holds on not to have holds.

Its a glitch in the system.
Dont get used to it and dont count on it happening on a regular basis.
