Ebay good, PayPal Limited
 

Greetings folks,

I have recently had my personal (non stealth and 9 years old) PP limited due to it being linked to my brothers PP which went down a few weeks ago.

My question is can I still retain my ebay account which is still good. This is only a buying account and I don't want to lose my delivery address. I am familiar with stealth principles (I have the stealth guide) and note that using an old ebay account with a new PP account isn't recommended but this is only a buying account and wonder if this will make a difference.

My problem is creating a new address - for my buying I need to have items sent to my home address.

Could I create a stealth PP and attach to the old ebay account which has my real details? I have a fresh UK bank account which I can attach to the stealth PP and use a stealth address for that PP. It's only the ebay account I want to retain my home address for.

You can continue to use your ebay account to purchase items.

Just use a card directly on ebay to pay as opposed to trying to set up another Paypal account.

Doesn't really matter as you are only purchasing items.

One last question if I may - is it possible to set up a new PP using my existing address but with new username IP and bank)?

Will the account be linked before I start?

NO.. that is a direct link - If you start a new PP you need all different details.

Once the Paypal gets limited that account is pretty useless as a seller account but you can use it as a buying account

No avoid that.

It will see your being linked again.

Just to clarify - do you want to be selling on this account as well? PP can be a bit more lenient on buying-only accounts...still it's good practice to used all new info - not hard to get different address - tons of posts in the UK section about what people have used.

Fcuk, got my PP stealth account limited for an unknown reason but my selling/buying account ebay is in good condition. Nothing shady, just selling used items for a profit.

I want to use it only as a buying account, but some sellers want to be paid via paypal.

Should I have an entropay VCC just for this? Can't use my bank details as they are linked to some older accounts which were suspended as well.

Thanks for all the replies chaps.

I am abandoning that PP and using the ebay (which has always been a mainly buying account) with a card payment method.

I'll think about starting a fresh PP in due course (I have the Stealth Guide) but I'm not in a hurry.

If you use a debit card not connected to your old paypal account but continue to use paypal as the intermediary eventually paypal will actually ask you if you wish to open an account.
Obviously you would do this (only if you want to sell would it be necessary though)
Continue to use it for buying only for quite a while but eventually you could start using the ebay account to sell too.
Buying is a cinch so if selling is no interest you have little to worry about
