New EB Account with old PP....

Hi all this is my first time using the forum, if i say anything inappropriate please do point out.

Ok here goes, i had a running business on EB for over 2 years with PP (no limits).

Recently the EB account was closed due to them receiving high amount of negative feedback in a short period. The EB account has been suspended indefinitely, now the PP account is fine with no problems.

My Question is can i link my old PP to a new EB account by just creating a new email address?

:peace:

You can, but it would be limited after a few weeks / months.

If you want a long term solution then you really would need to start both the eBay and the PayPal from fresh

Sorry but you have to start fresh with a new pair of accounts.

That PayPal is linked to the suspended eBay. If you link another one to it it will soon follow down the same road...

P.S. welcome to the forum

Thank you guys for the quick replies.

If a new PP account has been created with similar details as the previous account can EB also track this?

eBay item:
Estimated funds Availability: Unavailable
PayPal item:
Estimated funds Availability: 01 January 1970

Make a refund and to cancel the transaction?

wayus,
Did you see the date on that paypal. Funds release 1970

Obvious a glitch.

Do you mind making your own thread next time and not hijacking all the time?

OP here was talking about UK matter and you asked about a US issue.
We go off topic.

:typing:

Make your own next time.

Make your own thread wayus as you usually do. GB is right.

Such a pity you hand out advice like make your own thread as you usually do.

wayus has NEVER made a thread on his own. This was the entire point of my post.

Stop coming along after me offering pearls of what you think are wisdom.

They are not.

When I was last on this forum many months ago I left because some members didn't like the fact that I posted info which didn't agree with the accepted knowledge.
I had a paypal account limited because I screwed up the ID check but I simply opened a new one and connected it to my existing ebay account .
I was told they would link them but here we are 18 months later and all is well.

Similarly I had an ebay account banned from selling 2 years ago but the paypal account that was connected to remained open and I continueed to use the ebay account to buy.
So a few months back I opened a new ebay account and I am using the same paypal account that I use to buy goods on the ebay account which has a selling ban.
Now by all accounts on here none of that should work.
Now I'm not saying the info on here is inaccurate - it is always best to start both fresh if you can but if either ebay or paypal is well established there's no need to throw it away just because this site says so.
Ok, they might catch you down the line but if you ensure names and addresses are different , verifications etc are all done correctly and take the usual steps different IP etc ( although my most recent ebay account and the one with the selling ban use the same IP too) you can continue to use the ebay accounts as long as possible.
18 months seems quite good. If I'd followed the advice on here immediately I'd have thrown away 18 months of good feedback.

All I'm saying is don't waste accounts but be prepared to have to follow the usual routes if things go wrong.
You won't lose out by using a new ebay account. As usual start slowly by buying a few items , then sell a few then wait for them to increase limits.
Then if they catch on you can go the established route and start both again but a nice verified paypal account should not be dismissed for nothing

This is why you should try to keep using your existing well established paypal account.
A new one will really only last with all f*ke details so then you need to get it all verified etc.
Starting a new ebay account is nothing and doesn't require all the checks that paypal does.
The ebay details and paypal details do not have to match , not even the names.
Just ensure all your logging in etc is totally different from the old ebay account because ebay will be on the lookout.

The separation of paypal from ebay seems to have broken some of the links they once had so it doesn't seem as simple for them to make the connection.
They've not done with me after almost 2 years on one account and over 6 months on another

I'm sure the usual suspects will now post telling you not to listen to me but all I'm saying is give it a try. You have nothing to lose. If it goes tits up then follow their advice.
