eBay technical issue
 

So i had my eBay account locked out due to suspicion account activities, they asking me to confirm my account with either, email, by phone or answering the following security questions. The number that's attached to the account is no longer on me aswell as the security answers. The only option i have is either confirming my email or confirming my new number, but whenever i click on confirm email it says "Sorry we're currently having technical issues" same goes to phone confirmation. It's been almost 1 week the problem still persists. I tried different browsers, different devices also different IPs. I can't call in due to this account being stealth obviously with not my details as i purchased this.

Does anyone have this problem too? I can't seem to solve this :nono::nono:

If it is a purchased account, have you tried contacting the seller for the answers to the security questions?

I'm working on that at the moment, but i don't understand why is it giving me that error message for everything i do to confirm my details?

If you are using the same IP for eBay that you are using for the forum then it is likely down to the IP

ive had this a few times today when creating accounts, i just repeatedly click the back button and try again, eventually it works lol

I don't think it's because of the IP, cos i'm using dedicated IP addresses. I'll try Bunneh's way but i doubt it'll work.

EDIT: Nope constant tries keep giving the error too.

I had this happen then when I was able to sign in it after recovering yahoo email was not suspended says it was not registered. Couldn't buy or sell. Error code 70208

email fixed it. I got in with email. But like I said account is no good.

Past hour i'm still getting the damn error, even constantly clicking back. I so hate this company.

changing phone numbers always locks u out. Maybe you should quit trying and logging in for a few days

I gave it 3 days, then i logged back in today with the same error. I did try many different browsers, devices and IPs infact i even tried logging in via android APP version but nope.

The IP being used on the forum by yourself at the moment is showing as a 'Suspected network sharing device'

So like I mentioned if you are using this same IP with eBay then that could well be the reason for your issues :thumb:

You will have to call up to sort this. Had it happen on a few accounts last year. All they will confirm on the phone is your name, address and contact number. However, they will want to then hang up and call you back on the number on file. Change it before you call them or tell them you have changed your number.

Its not a big deal.

That's the thing pal, i can't change anything until i bypass this account confirmation crap.
I completely not have the phone number that's attached to the account.

Call in and just tell them you can change the phone number because of the error for weeks. You know the phone number they want to confirm. They wont need to call it when you call in. Then change the phone number once unlocked...

At this point you have nothing to lose... If they ask questions you can answer, just tell them you are driving and having a hard time connection. They usually ask to call back and you can be prepared for question.

This weekend I had to call in because I was locked out and asked for SSN.... I told them I couldn't add it because I was locked out. They unlocked it, we ended conversation and them I added EIN instead... Totally by-passing the SSN request... You just need to be smarter then them, which is not too difficult.

Would like to update this thread for those who are having this problem. Okay so i've called in as it was easy as f*c*. If you're from the UK all they will ask is your previous email, full address and your name. Call was done under 120 seconds and boom ended! I'd like to thank everyone who replied in this thread and whom helped me.

Not sure if this would work in other countries.
