Ebay + paypal buyer only accounts - advice needed
 

Hi Guys,

So, I have an ebay + paypal account linked to my current actual address with a variation of my actual name. My paypal account is now banned, ebay account is still fine.

What I want to do is create a new ebay + paypal account for buying only.

Here are my two options:

1) Completely stealth accounts with different registration addresses and MBE/ PO box address added for receiving parcels and Entropay VCC for funding purchases

2) New static VPN IP, windows profile and then make the ebay + paypal accounts in my actual name + address with an address variation - e.g. 'flat B, 126 ebay road' rather than just '126b ebay road'. Funding purchases with a new bank account + new debit card.

Out of the two options I would much prefer the second one as it will allow me to receive parcels at my actual address rather than using a PO box. Also I aim to build up to purchasing quite a lot and perhaps paypal would not like a VCC sending a lot of money regularly? My main question is, would my second proposed method work?

I would go for option 2, mailbox is expensive just to buy stuff.

name can be a variation of yours.

do a test, post to yourself and see if mail carrier delivers.

you do not need vpn, just check if your ip is dynamic and you should have unlimited ips, or just change to your phone hotspot, if you used your home wifi before....

you can often use your real card (different from banned account one) if the zipcode matches the registered address, which it would with your flat b address........

I do have a dynamic IP but isn't the IP pool/ range actually limited and therefore some of them get recycled and could link to my old paypal account? Isn't that why people with dynamic IP addresses keep a log of the IP address used each time? Sorry for noob questions.

It really depends on the carrier that you go with, the bigger and more popular carrier is, the larger the IP pool (in theory). I am in the US so i could not tell you anything about your local carriers or services.:coffee:

Ebay are REALLY lenient when it comes to BUYER accounts. I have one set up in my own name with all normal details bar a shortened version of my full name eg just 'Ad' instead of 'Adolf'

I agree with Kiroshi here above.

Don't know if UK is more severe but in my country no problem to have a buyer only account in banned name and address.

Am I the only one to think it would be interesting to know why OP was banned from buying on Ebay ?

Thanks for the further info people.

Not banned from ebay, banned from paypal. Moved house, had new IP address and street address, new street address didn't match billing address. Ended up being requested lots of ID proof and the stuff that I could provide wasn't perfect.

you can have a a buyer account in everything same as banned, apart from first name or first initial, it depends I suppose, in my experience they are lenient, but if you were banned for something really bad or you owe money it might be a bad idea....
