What are the other alternatives to myhermes?
 

The myhermes parcel shop closest to my house just said they stopped doing parcels, citing reasons such as not picking up on time and that the technology is crap because the scanner does not always work properly. They get them replaced like every 2-3 months.

It is only a 5 minute working distance from my place while the next shop is a minimum of 25min walk. I cannot do this on a daily basis.

I like myhermes because of the low price £2.75 for up to 1KG and you get tracking as well. I have been using them for years and 100% satisfied with their service. I am not sure how much I will have to spend at the post office to get tracking for parcel up to 1kg or 2kg.

If I have to go for Post office PPI. How much would it cost for parcels up to 2kg with tracking?

I may have to settle for the home pick up at £3.10 for up to 1kg, £4.30 for up to 2 Kg but first. Does anyone use myhermes home pick up? What about the reliability?

pay a few pence extra and get the parcel collected or use the post office ? do you think you are cut out for ebay ??

Seriously I think I would have to pay an extra 0.35p to get the parcel collected. I have just returned from a 40min walk from the other parcel shop.

You would need to opt in for them to collect and pay the little extra. Thats your only other option.
Depending on weight/dimensions, the difference in price between myHermes and Royal Mail can often be signifcant.

I'm not sure how much discount PPI users get, I use drop and go. Would be nice if someone shared that info if they knew?
