| Bradd | 07-11-2016 04:28 PM | sacrificial accounts I was thinking of may trying to open a couple of sacrificial accounts
basically selling something a little bit risky ,its not fraud or illegal or dangerous,. but at some point ebay will warn me
If i make sure my paypal payments are transferred into my bank account everyday if they do shut me down can PayPal take money out of my bank |
| phaz0rz | 07-11-2016 04:36 PM | Re: sacrificial accounts If you owe Ebay/Paypal or if you get charbebacks which you can't cover with your Paypal balance, Paypal will try dipping into your bank account to get the money.
They aren't going to just eat your losses without trying to recover money, lol. |

| Ubaida | 07-11-2016 06:39 PM | Re: sacrificial accounts You would have to build up the accounts normally then try what you want to try after you've established them. Not sure at that point you want to risk them though. |

No matter the amount you are able to make in a couple of days, you have to start with low risk items and work it up for a month. |
| beagle | 07-12-2016 01:54 AM | Re: sacrificial accounts I think its been said before; having multiple accounts is always a good idea.. if you get a vero notice on one of your accounts, just chill on that account for a while and list the risky item on a different account. The more accounts the better, it kinda lowers the whole risk factor if you have backup accounts.. :) |

| beagle | 07-12-2016 04:11 PM | Re: sacrificial accounts usually you get 3 strikes/warnings before ebay shuts you down, paypal sometimes only gives you 1 strike. But yeah, transfer everything out every couple days, just leave enough in there to cover a possible return. Quote:

this depends on your account and health |
| phaz0rz | 07-12-2016 05:26 PM | Re: sacrificial accounts C'mon guys give beagle a break. It's his 2nd post!
But yeah that's false. I've had an Ebay account suspended without any warning whatsoever. Selling one day, completely nonexistent the next. It's all random. |
| Ubaida | 07-12-2016 09:49 PM | Re: sacrificial accounts Usually if you have history with Ebay then they will warn you but if not or a somewhat new account, usually suspension without warning. |

But maybe a reincarnation of a former user, who knows.
:boink: |
| beagle | 07-21-2016 01:46 PM | Re: sacrificial accounts that is my experience over the last 15 years. but sure, it depends on the violation I suppose. Usually it is 1st: a warning, 2nd: 7-day suspension, 3rd: 30-day suspension, 4th: permanent banned. But yea i guess they can ban with no warning too. But i have always got 3 strikes. I was referring to the vero strikes system for selling risky items. Now if you get linked to a previously banned user or something like that, then sure you will wake up one morning to a dead account. but that's a different story.. Quote:
