Changing accounts at Metro Bank - risky?

This Spring I used a Metro Bank deposit account in my local branch to link to a now-limited PayPal account. Is there risk attached to closing that account and opening a new CURRENT account at the same branch for linking to a fresh PayPal account? Thanks for your help!

The bank may not like it.

If you close a bank account its better to wait 4/5 months before reopening a bank account with the same bank.

In the mean time you can use savings accounts

Thanks, James. you're a mine of info today ;-) The bank offered to do this when I first opened the account, the defunct savings account will be just left so no hassle from them but will there be any PayPal risk?

Savings accounts are fine to use with PayPal :)
