Easy closing Saving accounts

Afternoon Forumers :humble:

have just been wondering which of UK banks savings accounts are easiest to close and reopen from your experience?

Long time ago I've closed my Barclays savings after calling support, they said that it's closed and it still will appear on my Internet Banking so I opened new one, it was rejected by paypal for some reason, and old one still appears on my internet banking after around 6 months... >.<

If its still showing, its still open (or some banks leave it in a suspended state, but in my experience Barclays never does that). Give them another call to close it.

Barclays savings accounts are renowned for being recycled. So thats usually why you can't add it to PayPal - because someone else has used that on their account. The workaround would be to call in, but I wouldn't always advise that.
