Do you mean which will accept an incoming verification call or text without being topped up?

As above, all the big names seem to allow that.

Vodafone are the easiest, expiry dates always seem longer on them as well

None of the mobile networks require an initial top up. Usually by inserting sim into a device activates it.

I have tried and tested this on nearly all networks.

a free asda sim card comes with 10 minutes of calls, 10 texts and 10 mb data. put it in the phone and dial 2732 (from memory i think) no top up required

GiffGaff is no good. You even need to register to get the phone number. I use voda, ee, O2 mostly. Go online and order them for free or go to the supermarket and but them if needed quicker. If buying from the supermarket you can check the phone numbers. I like to get them with the number not too consecutive, if you know what I mean.

Re: pay as you go sim cards

re ASDA sim cards if you need to top up for the future they do £5 minimum top up where as all other have minimum £10 top up. ASDA use EE network.
