Adding bank account to Paypal
 

Hi

I added an RBS saving account to my paypal and I have received an email saying 'your bank has let us know you can't use your bank ending --- to fund paypal payments.

Will this have damaged the paypal account, will it have told them the names were mismatched?

The bank account is still added in paypal and confirmed, will I still be able to make withdrawals?

That is normal if the bank account is a savings account

To clarify, yes you can still withdraw, no it won't have damaged the account or alerted PayPal to name mismatches.

To further clarify, all is well, that is normal so no need to worry.

Great, I was worried as I didn't remember it saying that the last time I added an RBS saver. The first withdrawal has come through ok now.

Surprisingly I expect a lot of people to make this mistake so with that, PayPal doesn't hold it against you. I've entered wrong bank account details before and added multiple accounts and removed old ones.. it's never been a problem.
