UK VBA or US VBA for UK paypal

Hi,

Thank you for all advice in this forum.

I am Hong Kong resident. I am planning to buy some spare UK accounts from members in the forum. However, I can not freely open UK bank account as UK residents can. I have thought to open HK ebay accounts for selling however it must not pass the ID verification if I use stealth name.

I have read some replies about the possibility of adding a US virtual bank to a UK paypal account in a thread. Questions are:

1. Someone mentioned that there are no UK virtual bank accounts. Is that true? If not are there any suggested institutes?

2. In the thread some senior members mentioned the 'paywithfire' which acts as a US VBA which's perfect for withdrawing payments from UK paypal to the US VBA. Is it a true statement? If yes, do they accept mismatch names? (Because my UK paypal account names are stealth names)

It is much appreciate if anyone can help. Thank you very much.

Yes, no such thing as UK virtual bank accounts.

Can't give you any other advice on the other. Don't know much about "paywithfire"

Thank you for your help. Yes I know I can bring my documents to the head office of HSBC (HK) to open a UK bank account but it costs GBP160 for each so it is no good for stealth account. And therefore why I changed my mind and seek for something like VBA > UK paypal.

Thank you very much for all advice.

I am afraid a VBA is just not something we have in the UK

While £160 is quite a bit of money, if you use the account well you should be able to earn that back pretty fast!

Well worldfirst do offer virtual account and paywithfire

You can use them without any issue, I recommend paywithfire as service is really good

Hi again,

Does worldfirst support mismatch name from UK paypal?

And I also browse paywithfire and they only accept UK and Ireland residents. So sad because I am interested in paywithfire as you highly recommended.

Thank you very much.

Yes I want to know too. What did you encounter with worldfirst?

regarding worldfirst, after creating a new account/added to paypal for withdrawals came out a new problem: when they setup a new account they provide you an bank acc. nr/sort code that is not unique (you need to add your account ID inside wire/payments notes in order to recognize that the money is yours) but you know well that paypal withdrawals are automated and without any chance to add a note.
is there anyone that encountered the same problem?

Re: UK VBA or US VBA for UK paypal

I had communicated with a staff in worldfirst and they do not accept mismatch name withdrawal from paypal.

That would be the case of Hong Kong worldfirst. I am not sure about the condition of other countries.

In some cases, Hong Kong is stricter than UK or USA. Many US/UK banks accept mismatch name withdrawal, but however, HK banks do not, neither one of them.

I asked approx. 7 main banks since then, all the answers are same.

I guess that it depends on the country's law. Things in EU might be stricter than those in UK. Things in US might be more flexible than those in UK. So that's why there are US virtual bank accounts.

Things in Germany should be credibly strict because German always work in serious thinking, and gesture.

I think any bank, financial provider will tell you they don't accept mismatched names although many do. For example PayPal and Amazon.

Not that I disbelieve it with Worldfirst, they ask for ID from the outset. Payoneer don't accept mismatching name usually for Paypal, but they do for Amazon

From what I understand that is down to the transfer method used. Amazon use the old banking system transfer method which doesn't transfer the name with the funds whereas the new (most the time instant) transfers do transmit the name along with the funds.

I could be incorrect though so don't take that as gospel!

Ok that's interesting, sometimes Amazon pay by faster payments for uk accounts , could potentially be problems, haven't tested that with payo

That's interesting. For me its always been 3 days or so, but I only sell a small amount on Amazon V eBay/PayPal so my experience is pretty limited.

And answer came in less than an hour ...

Dear XXXXXX
Due to our internal policies we are unable to proceed with opening your World First account.

Apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused.
