Perm Limited Account Because Under 18
 

Yh so when i was 16 i created a pp account under my real info which got limited a few months later, I uploaded my id and proof of address but because i was under 18 i got perm limited

Can i create a new account under my real info now that im 18 ?

I would suggest giving PayPal a ring explaining the situation and seeing what they say

This is the exact reason I've never had a paypal in my name, and it really PISSES me off!!!

I created mine when I was 15, and got limited, sent documents and they banned me for good. I've never been able to get back on with my genuine info, hence I'm now a stealth user.

It's ridiculous, situations like that you should be banned until you turn 18!

I would try to call them and explain the situation. But I wouldn't get my hopes up.

My friend is in a similar situation
Heres the email he got after he submitted documents

We've reviewed the documents you submitted and determined that you're under 18 years old.

You must be at least 18 years old to sign up for a PayPal account. For this reason, we've permanently limited your PayPal account. From now on, you can’t send or receive money with this account.
If you have money in your PayPal balance, you can use it to refund your customers if needed. If you wish to use the financials registered in your PayPal account in your new account you need to provide the following documents:

* Bank statement and/or credit card statement.

Note: The document must show your full name and address as registered on the PayPal account. If the document only shows initials, a proof of identity is needed as well. The document cannot be older than 12 months and needs to be fully visible.

* A photo ID showing your full name (Not needed if previously provided)

What is a valid proof of identity?

We accept:

- A copy of your ID card - Your driving licence (photo counterpart)
- Passport
- Other photo ID that was issued by a government body.

Note: All the information below must be visible on the document:

- First and last name
- Date of birth
- Date of issue and/or expiry

Note: The document needs to be fully visible. Partial documents cannot be accepted as a valid proof of identity.

Once you've turned 18 you can open a new PayPal account.

If you’ve outstanding buyer complaints and you want to refund your customers, you can do so via the Resolution Centre in your PayPal account.
