Got hold of an old UK Ebay account- can I refuse PayPal?
 

Ive managed to get hold of friend's Ebay account and its 5 years old. Does this mean that I can refuse to accept PayPal and just use ccnow or another merchant account without getting it approved by Ebay?

I think paypal is obligatory now for UK, try and list and see if it makes you link to a verified pp to sell.

Problem is the account was already a seller account which was linked to a PayPal account. I thought with it being so old it may have been simple to just click to turn PayPal off but it doesnt look like it.

can your friend unlink it from its pp account (Under auction tools on pp)then set up your own pp account with same details and link it up (via ebay under my account tab). Either that or if he is also giving you his pp account too, he can remove his bank account and you can substitute yours, (he must be a good friend, I wouldnt give anyone an ebay acc, let alone a pp one, is there more than meets the eye, pm me, have you bought one?)
