| doyle77 | 09-18-2016 05:58 AM | 0 on selling limits new account hi everyone, just got round to getting a new everything ip ad ect, registered for a business account (not sure if this is a mistake) anyway got pay pal signed up and then ebay and listed my first item, to find i have a limit of 0 per month.
i verified the pay pal account but I've still got 0?
is it because i have still got the set up to do on pay pal, (the last option tell us abit more about yourself worries me)
or the left tab about integrating pay pal to your website ect
or is this common and do i just wait it out?
thank you again guys. |
JamesNorth101 | 09-18-2016 06:10 AM | Re: 0 on selling limits new account So long as the PayPal is bank verified then you can contact eBay and they will most the time increase that limit to 10 items for you
You can contact them via chat |
vetus | 09-18-2016 06:16 AM | Re: 0 on selling limits new account It's down to how you create the account, the ways in which you make it and then the type of card you use as well. Make sure you pick a common name as well and a solid address, look at the price of the house and the area it is located in.
This should give you a higher starting limit than 10 maybe bigger than 100 items as well. |
Re: 0 on selling limits new account Yes no big deal, when I have had 0/0 they always increased by chat |
Bunneh | 09-18-2016 06:29 AM | Re: 0 on selling limits new account yep lately anything higher than 10/£650 chat wont increase unless its been a seller account for 30 days.
Regardless if its a business account or not.
They make you call now. |

You can contact them via chat | Chat is not available for everyone
where i find chat is any special link of ebay chat |

doyle77 | 09-18-2016 07:56 AM | Re: 0 on selling limits new account thanks guys ill send them a chat, just looking on paypal and the right tab to set up the account verified address ect but its saying i need to send them proof of address and photo id? can i still use it if i don't provide it? |
doyle77 | 09-18-2016 09:38 AM | Re: 0 on selling limits new account Can't get it lifted through chat the person on the other end directed me to the call number, did I mention I hate PayPal and eBay? |
JamesNorth101 | 09-18-2016 09:58 AM | Re: 0 on selling limits new account You would need to give them a quick phone call in that case
It does sound like something is a little of off on your account creation method that may be linking you to another account |
doyle77 | 09-18-2016 10:03 AM | Re: 0 on selling limits new account Must be I can't think what as everything is new, unless it's the account set up tab with the last part missing, I might just try again but use a non business account |

Getting the 0/0 is just a random glitch that sometimes can happen even after actually listing an item successfully. As Sax said, you just need to call in and they will sort it out for you.
Saying it is down to account creation is just nonsense though. I could make 20 new stealths and list on them straight away. 15 may be 10/650, a few may be 0/0, some could have high limits. A couple will send me an email after first sale saying I just have to wait 60 days from first sale before holds lifted, 4 or 5 will have no 21 day holds at all. All accounts would have been made in exactly the same way though. There is no magic to it.
Saying house value has anything to do with your account limits is just beyond bizarre. |
Re: 0 on selling limits new account @Blobby - You are completely correct in saying that randomly, through no fault of your own, it's possible to get 0/0. Its rare, but possible.
If this is the case for you, just ditch it and make a new one. No point faffing around with one account. 0/0 is a bad start to say the least, who knows what hurdles you'll face later on that account. |

While sometimes it can just be a glitch it can also sometimes be down to creating too many accounts in a short space of time with a similar IP range and account information. That can then lead to getting a few 0/0s in a row.
While we like to complain about eBay being totally glighty they are still a very large company and they do use complicated algorithms that will sometimes spot accounts with similar details and hand out 0/0 in response.
It is pretty easy to get around though |

is it a glitch or something went wrong? | Last day or so it has been doing that a bit. Next week you could create 20 accounts exactly the same way and it may not do it once. Just get them on ebay chat and they will raise it for you. Just make sure you have ticked all the boxes to create your stealth and if you have just contact them on chat. |

Jackery | 09-25-2016 08:41 PM | Re: 0 on selling limits new account In my opinion the property comment doesn't matter, I picked some addresses in the ghetto part of some cities and still received $25,000.00 accts.
It's all about the wait :shhh: |
