Two banks in same interface
 

Hi guys,

so Halifax and BOS(Bank of Scotland) are different banks but they are owned by the same business. I worked this out because when you login to Halifax online, you see your BOS accounts too.

Now, I've heard that 4-5 is the maximum for each bank. I have 2 Halifax and 3 BOS but because they are both in the same interface(online banking), it totals 5. Would I be able to make up to 4-5 each per bank or should I not make any more because they're both owned by the same entity?

you can open more saving accounts with them instantly using online banking

Halifax and Bank of Scotland are both owned by Lloyds.

Well, technically, Halifax is part of Bank of Scotland which is owned by Lloyds Banking Group.

You SHOULD be OK with 4 savers and one current account in each Halifax and Bank of Scotland.

Note: Bank of Scotland should not be confused with RBS which is part of the same group as NatWest. There are a shrinking number of banking groups now - HSBC and First Direct etc.
