Ebay's collection agents called about fees, need urgent help ! plz !!
 

hi everyone,

Today ebay phoned, i picked up the phone, they were talking about one of my suspended accounts, which i owe the fees of £164.

So they have given me till next friday or she said they will take legal action against my account.

I think it was a calling agency.

Any advice or experiences with this anyone ? should i just pay the amount ?? Should i cancel that virtual phone number ??

I always cancel my numbers after an account goes down now. but I had used my cell phone on an account and had them call me about $600 in fees I owed and I told them I didn't know that person. They never called me back.

LOL, anyway i have just paid them £164, so they off my back. The guy sed also my account will be restored to normal status in 72 hours. I doubt it , oh well i guess you cant win with ****bay

unless you got suspended for owing money they have no plans on restoring your account. thats just sweet talk to get you to pay up:sly:

Yeh i knew it, well on that account it was my paypal that got limited, so then ebay got suspended, anyway i have paid the money know, at least next time i will cancel the phone number, then they cant do anything except send letters to a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ address, LOL

I think my next one that goes down I'll leave the number on so when they call I can tell them I don't want to pay because I already created another account for free.:D

Ive hear some cases of them even settling for a significantly lower amount.

of course they'll settle. collecting from people you screw over isn't an easy task.

Idiotbay, Did you really pay the fees on a suspended stealth account!? You sure wouldn't see me doing that! Lol :lol:

Ebay doesn't have your SS#, so there is nothing nothing they can do, can't hurt your credit.

I cant stop laughing how cool would that be.:D

main thing, fees are paid. idiotbay can get on and knows how to beat ebay next round if that happens;)

they tried to sweet talk me too into paying once... i told them to restore my account first so i can log in and pay with my credit card.... they dident know what to say so i said stop calling cuz im not payin...

Man i got 3 debt collecting agencies after me for 3 lots of ebay fees and paypal have more then enough money of mine to pay them but they wont pay ebay cos my accounts are on limitations....so i rang the agencies and they basically dont want to know about it but one did and gave me the phone numbers to call ebay and paypal about it,,,,so i did and wat a complete waste of time that was...they are so dumb about this that i could scream....i rang the debt collectors and i so mean this...i told them that i would rather choke on my ownblood,then pay out of my own money for ebay fees when paypal have it to pay them and i mean it,,,im dead serious about this.they will literally have to break my door down and then carry me out by my arms and legs before i would give them a penny im fuming about it

I owed ebay £650 when my account got suspended never paid a penny.
Firstly if letters start arriving you will recognise if its from the debt collectors from the envelope dont open it just send it back saying the person named does not live here. Change your phone number or ignore any number you dont recognise. They tried getting the details from my credit card company which was on ebay but they didnt pass the information to them. Its been a few months I havent heard anything hopefully they crossed me out :) Whatever you do dont fear!

gurusgrafx, i like that "severance pay" I am going to use that when they call me.

if u cancelled the agreement with paypal, to pay ur fees...and cancelled ur phone number, wot happens then.

If the collection agencies call you on a voip number or a mobile my advice would be to bin the number.

If they call you on your landline that makes things a bit more difficult.

The most important thing is do you have a real or stealth address linked to the suspended accounts?

If real you will have to pay the fees. Some years ago I had my accounts suspended. When the agent rang I said the account holder (me) was deceased.

I finished the call thinking great job. Then the letters arrived. At that point I thought it was best to pay the fees as I did not want extra fees to be added. (IE Solicitor fees, Court fees)

I DO NOT know how far they will pursue non payers, maybe someone who has called thier bluff can shed some light on this.

IF the address is stealth, relax, they will not find you. FACT
