Can you open bank accounts online in the UK?

I may be moving to the UK from US and I would like to know how it works over there with bank accounts for paypal. Can you open them online is my main question, and also, can you have more then 1 checking account per person? Thanks a lot!

yes, you can make them online but need to send in certified copy of id before it is allowed and you can have more than one per person

Try HSBC. You can use a HSBC premier account that will work O/S. They offer a good 'international' service for customers There's a toll free number to phone for any help.
That way you can use the account to open UK bank account quickly.:cheer:
