hello all

I have just made a new ebay and paypal account using
my sisters address etc....i started selling on there and after
selling about 3 things and listing about 8...paypal have
put the account on limitation

So i have to show them photo id etc..which i can do

the problem is they are asking for invoices on the stuff i listed

I bought your book...does the book show you how to show invoices
when you dont have any invoices for any of the items?

if not how would i go about this ?

Thanks

mmac900 06-12-2009 03:55 PM

Thats harsh. I never had that much trouble that fast. Have you listed a lot of items early on then?

uk_making_chatters_disapp 06-12-2009 04:03 PM

lol

No only about 8 items

i had scammers on me cos it was a new account

i sent that to paypalspoof

i had someone bid on an ifone for over 1500 pounds
which is about 3 grand in dollars kik

if i have all the other info they are asking for but not
the invoices..will i not be allowed to carry on selling
with paypal?

New account selling an iphone right out of the gate? I can see their logic actually. Should always start slow (you did) and start small (you didn't).

uk_making_chatters_disapp 06-12-2009 08:10 PM

no

I started with a mulberry bag and wallet...dont tell me that you think that
they have limited my new ebay and paypal account for selling a ifone?

anyway back to the question

should i make some invoices for these items or just be honest
and say i dont have any?

GreenBean 06-12-2009 08:21 PM

Of course they have. How much is on hold?

Vicvelcro 06-12-2009 08:22 PM

I think they limited a new account for attempting sale of an iphone.

If you think you can provide good enough invoices, go for it. If not, don't try.

uk_making_chatters_disapp 06-12-2009 08:41 PM

lol

Well i have only sold one item which was 92 pounds and some guy as paid
157 pound for a laptop which i have not sent out yet

do you think they wont allow this account to go ahead without invoices?

this cant be right cos as far as ebay and paypal are aware..this is a brand new person

GreenBean 06-12-2009 08:43 PM

Do the invoices then. You might be lucky. As for being a new person, don't be so naive to think that paypal will treat you well. It's paypal & it don't happen.:peace:

uk_making_chatters_disapp 06-12-2009 08:57 PM

ok

ok so you are telling me that a new person to ebay and paypal
come online and try to sell an ifone,,they will get banned for life

is this what you are saying

Yes and for Laptops, mulberry bags and wallets, read the ebook and forum more.

A new person to ebay and paypal going on line to sell CERTAIN ITEMS will have troubles. That is what I am saying. :peace:

Vicvelcro 06-12-2009 09:32 PM

Wait a minute. I thought we were discussing an account that got limited by PP not banned by ebay.

I begin to suspect you want to be cuddled, not get answers. Maybe I'm wrong here. But we've been addressing your issues the way YOU present them. The story gets bigger or changes every minute.

Listing those items could get you limited. Don't be so surprised. Possibly yes get you suspended from ebay too. Multiple listings of problematic goods on a new account? Here, smell my coffee, McFly!

<laughs>

uk_making_chatters_disapp 06-12-2009 09:42 PM

lol

A cuddle is what i want before they come around to throw me out my house

lets go back to the original question

they have asked me to show proof etc with photo etc but i dont
have any invoices for those items i listed...so the question is

SHall i just say i dont have any invoices (ie reciepts) for those
items or shall i try to supply ones cos the thing i am worried
about..if i am honest and say i have no reciepts..will they or wont
they take the limitations of the account?

GreenBean 06-12-2009 09:53 PM

Is this a windup? You have been answered. Re-read the thread, make your own choice. paypal will do they(paypal) want. End of.:peace:

Vicvelcro 06-12-2009 10:20 PM

Let's see how well I can summarize this.

If PP wants invoices and there is any possible way you can provide viable documents, DO SO.

Let the account cool off, assuming you don't end up losing it.

In the future, when starting a fresh account, be sane and reasonable. New sellers don't just pop up out of nowhere with several high-end things to list right out of the gate.

My perspective includes the *possibility* (not accusing you, just being objective) that you are trying to move merchandise quickly - merchandise you are not intimately familiar with or merch you may be having drop shipped, or even vaporware. You *could* be listing stuff you never plan to deliver.

^^^^^That is what PP and eBay see^^^^^

If you find that hard to fathom, you need to set your career goals elsewhere.

Personally, I hope you are on the up-and-up and I hope this works out in your favor. But please, before this happens again, use your mind a bit more. Think before you leap. It will do wonders for you.
