I created a new account today, used my sisters details who lives outside of my city and logged into the account on my phone, connected to 4G instead of my wifi. Listed an Item (Destiny 2 deep stone crypt raid completion) and received this email an hour or so later:

We have reviewed the activity we have seen connected to your account. As a result, your account has been suspended because we believe this activity presents a risk to our eBay community. We do not make this decision lightly. Building a trusted marketplace where people around the world can buy and sell safely is our first priority.

This suspension is permanent and means that you will not be able to participate in any buying or selling activities on eBay. In addition, any other accounts that you own, or that are associated with this account, will also be suspended.

We regret the frustration or inconvenience this may cause you. However, there is no appeal for this decision.

We appreciate your understanding.

What is going on here?

There was no way they could have linked it to my old suspended account (sure enough I was selling the same item but there are a lot more sellers selling the same thing (some even with 1000s of feedback selling same related items)

Mayby account details already used or suspended.

Logging in to the new account in your sisters details can flag different device. Just some of the reasons.

She said she hasn't used ebay before so they were completely new.

I used my phone which I had previously used for my account, is there something I'm missing that I was supposed to clear?

Not quite sure how to conceal myself on my phone. I was told by a seller that I could use my mobile 4G and not to use a VPN.

IMEI or MEID number for your mobile phone acts as a unique identifier for that device. No two devices will have the same IMEI or MEID. This may have caused the problem as well

Use your phone as a hot spot to a tablet or PC, do not used the eBay app or the browser of your phone as IMEI will show and get associated o other accounts you have lost.
