MC011 - additional documents
 

Hello

So i've received a MC011 suspension. They asked for additional info

- Photo ID
- Proof of address
- Proof of inventory purchased.

I've been able to provided items 2 and 3 with some finessing.

Item 1 was provided (creative) but it is a very bad creative ID. I realised my mistake after I submitted.

They have now come back asking for a colour copy.

My Q is, I have a decent amount on hold with ebay in terms of funds. Do i risk sending in a colour copy with a high chance it'll get rejected. Or just wait it out and assume after 60 days the funds are released to me.

I assume even if they reject my colour ID, they will still have to send through the funds after 60 days?

The items you sold (just making sure) - don't fall under problems with ToS right? no possibility of violation accusation?

No,

They are replicas but no one would know, nor would/has anyone raised any issues with authenticity.

They will not release after 60 days as your account will be temporarily restricted until they inform you it is permanently suspended, then the 60 days run until they release the funds, so it’s best to submit the colour ID and either it will pass or you will be suspended.

OK, so have (as expected) received a permanent suspension today.

Does this mean from 60 days as of today, they will automatically release the funds via MP to the bank account associated?

If the permanent suspension was as a result of them spotting the ID was f@ke then the money is likely to be held indefinitely

actually - they have confirmed that I will receive a payout 6m post suspension!

That is very long - anyone been in the same situation?

what is 6m?6 months,then it is 180 days

if ID was rejected they will not pay out , their reps always tell people funds would be paid out , there is no point to rely on them

Normally with managed payments and eb, the norm is 45-60 days, 72 days have been reported.

6 months was told to you by whom? an eb customer service rep? They might be working with old info about paypal days...

All this being said, if it is discovered you were selling replicas...there is the remote possibility of not receiving your money - just fyi

It happened to me too. Ebay says it will hold the money for 170 days.

It all depends on the country you are based in, in the USA it’s reported that they are using Escheatment for failing ID and a 180 day wait until getting it back from State and Federal governments, the UK is different and laws are different and it may still be 60 days wait.

180 days is 6 months,thats when credit card chargeback deadline ends.
where does MP or rather Ayden come up with 170 days,72 days,63 days??
If it is switching to 6 months,then they must have realised most buyers use their credit cards and can file charge back within 180 days on Ebay.com.

Yes just to confirm, they have said 170 days to wait to get my funds back.

Also just a note,

Do ebay ever delete your data after the 170 days?

I have also tried to register 2 new ebay ID's - both of which were suspended. The first one immediately and then the second one a few weeks after. I was not selling or buying. I had just opened them.

Do ebay always hold records of IP addresses indefinitely? It seems like a bit of a headache to us VPN constantly if selling.

Any advice?

what does it mean "tried to register"? I have never seen any function on ebay that would register ID's

the closest I have seen is a red window asking to add ID number but registration seems to be far fetched

with new accounts no one cares about your ID , they suspend randomly , all those requests for ID's etc. are meaningless there

They effectively keep all data forever.

You cannot re-use any info for stealth accounts. Nothing whatsoever.

Being thorough in ensuring no links to a suspended account can be made might seem like a headache but it's the new norm so best get used to it.
