Friend suspended by ebay after non delivery troubles
 

a friend of mine has been suspended by ebay for making claims for items not received, items never arrived or did arrive and the sellers had no tracking number to prove items had been sent, so paypal refunded the monies to my friend

now my friend has been suspended by ebay and not paypal, she has appealed her suspension and got this reply from ebay

"thank you for appealing your suspension, it has been determined that you have been using the resolutions program in a manner which is not in the spirit of ebay nor is it in the spirit of which the program was intended and we will not be able to reinstate your a/c"

basically my friend was claiming for goods which she paid for with paypal, but the sellers sent without tracking so she put claims for items not received through ebay and was refunded by paypal

is there a way she can get back, surely if the sellers cant prove the item was sent out, then why is my friend suspended (i know she made ⊗⊗⊗⊗ claims, but i;m sure so do thousands of others)

I think what your friend did deserved it, how can any buyer do this
I know how annoying is for a seller to post something only to be thrown non delivery dispute.
I am glad ebay has done something good and suspending buyers for this

from what i know so far a large proportion of the items did not arrive, so she was in her rights to appeal the non delivery, she won the appeals with paypal, so obviously paypal was on her side and not the sellers, paypal did not suspend but ebay has done

one-off items dont arrive occasionally, its happened to me but it is rare and Ive claimed. Large proportions not arriving. my instinct tells me is a scam, I agree , this person is treating sellers unfairly. Buyers are starting to get the fact that they can claim if there isnt tracking, but do it a few times and its obvious what they are up to.

How can she get back on? well other than plead with ebay nothing, that spirit of ebay thing is meant to be discretionary term...

ffs, why should the forum help out here? Giving advice to 'friends' usually means that friend has only told half a truth. You admitted she made some fraudulent claims. What others do is not the issue,Lucy, and that's a cop out saying that.

yes Ive had things not turn up, Ive done pp dispute and it turns up later and I cancel dispute, why? because its the right thing to do,

we are all sellers here, Im actually pleased ebay has done something too - she must have taken the mickey, for them to have suspendeded her.....It used to be that sellers could get a warning, from too many negs on a buyers account, now they are sitting ducks....

perry43 could have not said it any clearer...your friend are the very people that genuine sellers are kick off ebay and have to cope with all this stealth, i am glad ebay did something good for a change.

Happened to me a lot over the last month for items under 10 pounds. To save the hassle i even sent replacements with the same people claiming they never arrived. Your friend deserved it, basically it's theft.
