MC021 CIT NOTICE: eBay Registration Suspension - Breach of User Agreement-

Made a BIG mistake the other day, got a bit too cocky with ebay!

Had an account, all limits lifted, 500+ positive feedback, however account had several recent negatives as well, so was working on slowly reducing the account and would transfer to my new account < same details, just a different username>
Had opened the new account , and was selling on there as well. However as with any new account, I got a limit on the amount I could sell for that month.
MY BIG MISTAKE>> Hastily, I asked them to lift the limit through live chat, they fogged me off and said it would have to be transferred to another department and they would be in touch. <never had this problem before lifting limits, however never asked so soon, and never to a connected account> Alarm bells were ringing at this point!
Well for one reason or another they have limited and suspended both accounts. I am presuming that they noticed the recent negatives I had received on the main account, and saw that I was selling the same stuff on the other account which had about 30 sales and 15 positive feedbacks, others had not left any for me, however was left for them, as I had no worries with this current product I am selling at the moment.
I think ebay thinks I was trying to dupe buyers by creating another account, by erasing/eliminating the negs I had received in one way or another.
If I had just waited for the limits to be lifted after the 30day period, then I would not be writing this.
Am writing this so that others do not make the same mistake, and avoid this problem.
I am fortunate , I have 5 other working accounts, so am not too bothered about it.
A lesson to be learned, never tread easy and think all is ok, it never is! :)

But how did they connect your new account with your old one that had 500+ feedback.
I dont get this bit

ebay allows you to have more than 1 account with the same details. These were not two different stealth accounts. They were 2 stealth accounts with the same details.

I was mentioned at the start of the big paragraph.

Just to follow-up a bit - I am guess the two accounts in same details had same IP info and associated info?

I Did the Same thing a Few years Ago,,,I asked Ebay for a Higher Sales Limit,,,They Limited the Account and it is Still Limited (and Useless).

Basically what happens is that by Making these Requests, you Invite a "Manual" Review where Humans look into your Account, All they Need to do is see something that they Do Not Like,,,And that is all she Wrote,,,,Permanent Limitation,,,,
