| ADAM786 | 09-16-2010 09:50 AM | Help Please I recently started selling on ebay. But had an existing ebay account which was about 3 years old with 11 positive feedback ratings as a buyer.
I upgraded to a sellers premier account, and fully verified my bank account, debit card and home landline number and started selling a month ago, and achieving sales averaging about 200 pounds uk a week (sorry im in a internet cafe atm and the pound sign is not working!!)
My paypal account (which was also 3 years old) got limited a few days ago and they now hold my money for 180 days. They asked for invoices, which I sent to them and tracking info for all the postage which I supplied to them.
I dont know what I did wrong. I seriously need your help guys, i tried ebid, but I am not getting any sales on there :(
yours

Welcome to the forum.
You have not done anything wrong persay - you complied and Paypal did what they are known for =(
UK Stealth account...have you looked into the sales section to see what is offered? Not too hard to set up an account on your own once you read Stealth guide or read lot of posts here in the forum.
All the best. |
| oompaloompa | 09-16-2010 11:04 AM | what catagory are you selling in and are these goods branded?
have you heard back from pp about outcome of review?
get book and make an account or two to use in say 3 months time
do not be hasty and buy and account, as it will cost you money and you will make same mistakes, firstly you need to find out why you were limited, it may be random, ok fine, but if it is for a reason you need to not do it again, typical reasons are high cash flow amount, high risk goods etc ...your cash flow doesnt seen high, so it may be the goods... |
| ADAM786 | 09-16-2010 12:00 PM | I sell designer branded ladies perfumes and mens aftershaves, and the occasional mens clothing (g star raw, henleys etc) (all 100% genuine).
The outcome was they consider me a potential high risk? and have decided to end all future business with me!! however, my ebay account has not been suspended. just my paypal account.
Is the stealth way, workable in the UK?
if i was to begun stealth, can I begin immediately, or do I have to wait a few months?
cheers for your help

| vokonta | 09-16-2010 02:23 PM | Yeah, it might be a problem with the item you were selling.

| ADAM786 | 09-16-2010 05:16 PM | Sorry, what do you mean by vero?
I was selling perfumes, aftershaves. (chanel, hugo boss etc)
and boys clothing (Gstar Raw jeans, t shirts etc) |
| vokonta | 09-17-2010 01:26 AM | Verified Rights Owner (VeRO),
As part of our mission, we are committed to help protecting the intellectual property rights of rights owners and to providing our users with a safe and enjoyable place to trade.
For this reason, eBay has created the Verified Rights Owner (VeRO) Programme so rights owners can report listings that infringe their rights. Any person or company who holds intellectual property rights (such as a copyright, trademark or patent) which may be infringed by listings or items sold on eBay is encouraged to participate in the VeRO Programme.
In addition, we believe that by providing information and guidelines to our community of users, everyone can contribute to help building a safe and reliable marketplace where people can find success
Hope this helps - copied and pasted from ebay site |
| forummember | 09-17-2010 02:10 AM | Yes anything branded more or less is high risk. |
| ADAM786 | 09-17-2010 04:54 AM | so basically, even if I open a stealth account, and continue to sell vero items, I will get limited? |
| oompaloompa | 09-17-2010 08:16 AM | stealth doesnt mean you can sell branded goods and not get asked for proof.... stealth, is just stealth details, and methods to avoid linkage with banned details, plus it is keeping under their radar with your risks.....
if you are a vero seller, you will get stopped for proof when selling in volume, it would seeem obvious as these items are frequently fa ked...
advice is to sell much less vero on subsequent accounts and try and find other types of goods, it is possible to do and make money... | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 01:21 AM. | |
