Reuse HTML Code?

Hi,

I'm newbie in here.

I'm really paranoid I'm going to get kicked off ebay very shortly. I'm currently serving a 7 day notice.

I'm reliant on eBay to pay my bills too, so it's a big worry.

All my listings have alot of HTML code in to keep up with the competition's.

If i do get kicked off eBay, my girlfriend has an account registered under her name and her parent's address. She has logged in off the same laptop / IP address in the past where live though.

1). Would that mean it's not safe to revert to her account if mine gets locked?

Also, I use a dedicated server to host all my images (same server which my website), and the HTML code in the eBay listings pulls the imagery from that server.

2). If I have to revert to another eBay account, and use the same HTML code as in the existing listings, will that cause bother too?

Appriecate you help.

Cheers

I use the same HTML code for nearly 2 years across many eBay accounts and never had a problem. I do use other image hosts for the images themselves, though. So be careful about that. But about the HTML code, I wouldn't worry, because many sellers use templates.

Cheers for that. One thing less to worry about.

Any ideas if my girlfriends acc is ok to use if she's logged in off the same ip as me in the past?

I can't imagine the code itself will get you limited, unless there is some kind of tag line that is proprietary.

Typically just one IP cross is not enough if that's all there is, there may be some closer scutiny in future so be extra careful not to accidentally cross any other information. And yes you are definitely okay to use the same HTML code, trying to track that would be a nightmare even for eBay and way too labor intensive.

Good luck.

With regards to the IP, provided you don't get kicked off for a very serious violation it would probably be ignored. BUT should your GF's account get suspended for whatever reason it's likely that eBay will cite linked accounts as a reason not to re-instate. Even if the 2x accounts use of the IP were years apart.
