Same description - 2 diff accounts - same owner
 

Hi another question.
With my stealth accounts I am doing the old "one router per windows account" type thing (visitors often ask why we have so many routers stacked up when they walk in the house!). When I created my eBay accounts, I created one business, and one personal account for each router.
The business account has had a selling limitation put on it, so I am now going to switch to the personal account and carry on selling on that.
I was thinking of just copying and pasting the listing and all the description from the one account over to the other, after all it is my listing?
I know its slightly lazy and asking for trouble but has anyone done this before with no problems?

Do NOT simply copy and paste the listing - make differences so it does not look obviously linked. All the best.

Laziness is NEVER a good way - sorry to say.

As rsot states do NOT use the same descriptions for both accounts - change them quite significantly - dont be lazy.

Also dont use the same pictures accross both accounts.

Agreed - I made that mistake last year, not only did e-bay pick up on the fact that I'd copied another listing I also had customers complaining that they'd bought the same thing from me twice with two different names.

Some people whinge for a living, you could end up with e-bay being alerted to your actions and two sets of neg feedback.

Different pics, differently worded description and possibly even slight variances in p&p would really throw people off the scent that the 2 accounts are the same person - might even get two sales as well. :juggle:

But they are already linked....they are both running off the same Paypal?

From what I have read you can run 2 eBay accounts to one Paypal?

how are they linked? OP did not state this....they may have different routers and windows but do they have same name or address? if so they may be some links, but not any that would get picked up, depends on extent...

If they are not linked, keep everything different. If they are somewhat linked keep everything different. If they are linked by cookies or/and full name address, who cares, they are linked anyway, may as well copy ....all depends

You have two ebay accounts to one paypal with all matching info (except for the email address on paypal)? That is crucial to how ebay will react to the listings being the same.

We need that info to give the most accurate answer or you will be confused:typing:

OP has not replied in awhile - assuming both accounts going to 1 pa yp al, the account is linked period.
