Hi newbie here, im below standard on ebay at the moment because of my DSR's. I am one over what i should be on item as described hence below standard.

I got an email from ebay this morning telling me that my status has got a bit better:


Your seller performance is below standard under the global seller performance standards programme.

We noticed that you've improved your seller performance--that's great news. However, you'll need to continue improving to avoid limitations.

Just to ask if people think i will end up having selling limitations on this account.

Right now I would concentrate on just improving it as much as possible. You should be able to change things up and get 5's on everything from here on out. Its not hard. If not 5's then close. You get 3 months to get them up to par with what they want you to have.

Just in case open another stealth account just to have as a backup. especially if you are counting on the income and cant lose a week or 2 of sales when or if it goes down.

For now though just hang on and better yourself in every way while selling. Might as well use it until it does go. (If it does that is)

Cheers for the advice, i just logged into ebay and it still says below standard but when i click on my dashboard it doesnt say i am below any more on item as described, highest you can go to is 1% im on 0.99% eeeek. I was on like 1.43% but that was like last month so must be doing something right lol

Yeah, Just keep trying to improve it in every aspect. There are tons of ways to increase each category of the DSR's. All are pretty much common sense.

You really have to list items accurately even if there is a flaw. Most people dont care about a scratch as long as they know about it. You would be surprised.

send items the same day if you can. There is auto 5 stars for this as well if you send and they receive fast.

Charge less shipping than it costs, Not much just enough for them to notice Or just ship for free. auto 5 stars for that.

Communication. Email them every step of the way. Yes its a hassle but you get great communication marks for it. If you combine shipping and can save them a dollar, email them and tell them. They always love it and overly thank you and mention it in feedback sometime how courteous you were.

There are many ways but these are just a few.

work on those and you shoudl be golden.
