Phone Verification?

Hi,

I am going to buy the stealth guide but before I do I want to know If the only way to get past the phone verification on ebay is to pay monthly for another number?

:help:

Thanks

You don't need to use call forwarded landline numbers any more. Mobile phone numbers are accepted on Ebay to become a seller and on Paypal as a contact number.

Paypal doesn't require phone verification any more to set it up but you may be asked to complete this down the line if you get limited.

Personally, I still use landline numbers as I feel it gives the selling account a little bit more credibility.

Good advise Ebayorbust - problem solved - I can't get a mobile signal so I use Soho66. :thumb:

Mobile phones are accepted yes for phone verification now.

However I still prefer to have a landline number on my account to give it (I believe) that extra credibility therefore I agree with GT about Soho66 :peace:

I use sipgate and it does not cost me anything, just open up a new sipgate account for each account, as long as you keep signing in it seems to keep hold of the number.

wait a second you can now do the phone verification for confirming your location with a mobile # and not a landline?

All UK members.

It sort of makes sense when so many phones have internet and there are a few people I know don't actually own a computer, as they only use their phone

at least you know your mobile number is 100% your own, a voip could have been recycled, given so many people use them and cancel.

not saying there is anything wrong with voip, it used to be all that would work but things have changed, and ebay changed it for a reason.
non-stealth users would give a cell...I do not do not think a landline gives more cred.
after all when I have to give a number on any site, eg a delivery there is no way I give my real landline its always a cell....

Its been like that for nearly 2 years now.

If you dont want for pay for land line number, I recommend sipgate as another has posted.

With sipgate, you can link many many numbers to 1 smartphone and have them all on-line at the same time though 1 phone.

If running multi accounts, you are probably at home/work most of the day, so you can link them to your wifi there and leave the phone on the side on loud ringer, confident that if eb/pp rings it is all good in the hood.

Saves a lot of money if running multi. I used to use soho, but it was costing me monies running 25 accounts - paypal dont call me so I changed to free.

Plenty of other things you can do - let you imagination take you there.

As always, depends on your setup how you want/need to do things.

I don't like mobile numbers for multiple accounts because that obviously means multiple mobile phones lol, unless someone knows a better method, I would like to know :thumb:

But yeah, with something like soho66 you can have multiple land line numbers forwarded to one mobile phone.
