meVebay is correct. I thought the same thing. Add credit and it will work.

I previously have used several call forwarding services for eBay accounts and PayPal accounts. "Soho66" is not the one for me I'm afraid, countless problems with the routing wizard and payments. eBay sellers accounts and PayPal accounts can now accept mobile numbers, 99p sim card and away you go.

very true stealthmaster - i actually just like to spend£2 on adding a landline though to help make it look better should a manual review happen. I know we're talking details here but i think it just affs a miniscule bit more integrity.

In my experience paypal get nervous when they try and call you and then nobody picks up. In the past i've had all my limits lifted simply becuase they've called, i've said hello and that's that - multiple sim cards and just one phone can be a bit dogy if you miss the call....i know i'm being pedantic but that's my two pennies worth

I agree, you can have multiple landline numbers forwarded to 1 number. I like to answer eBay and PP's calls. Having 10 mobiles all on remembering to charge them, having to carry them round when I go out isn't really an option.

PAYG sims are fine if you arent bothered about having an active number on your account.

Re-train the way of thinking.... sell a few items & there's the fees for soho sorted.

I couldn't have put it better

Buy cheap and pay twice

Soho66 solved all my telephone problems and I would not recommend anyone else

Does Ebay and PP accept mobile numbers now?
So I can just buy a mobile ten pound pay as you go top sim card number and get verified with Ebay and PP?

OR should I use soho66?

sax4 10-18-2012 07:22 AM

Yes you can, why spend 10 quid though, you can get them with no credit, fine for incoming

Elijah 10-18-2012 08:31 AM

As long as it's not Lebara. I went to Sainsburys and they were having a clearout of their sim cards, 10p each down from 99p. I bought the lot (about 45 cards) and about 10 of those were Lebara. Turns out that you must top it up before you can accept calls....

Ouch. This highlights something I bet a lot of people do. How many hours were spent in order to save £5, which subsequently had to be paid regardless? Wasting so much time trying to save something that doesn't need to be saved if the time was spent actually selling! Working for nothing and giving eb/pp a cut just for the privilege :deadhorse:

I've been using Soho66 recently. May sound a bit sad, but I enjoy searching for memorable numbers for use on various accounts/websites. With the free options such as 'Delivery Assurance' and 'Call Whisper', plus chargeable options like voice menus & receptionists, it's not just eb/pp verification it's good for. And at a basic rate of £2.40/month per number, costs should be covered relatively easy. If not, well..... You don't really need one in the first place

ebayalien 10-26-2012 11:57 AM

How do you use these free or paid sim cards?

I am scared that the company who I just upgraded my phone will lock when I put another sim card in
